Charming property and hosts

We were in the area for a family wedding and were spread across various accommodations in Montreal and Bram. 5 of us ranging in ages from 20s to 80s stayed at this charming property. All rooms are ensuite, with most having a hand shower over a roll top bath. One room (# 2) has a walk-in shower, and the elder in our party had this. My husband & I were in the annex which is split across 3 floors & comprises a kitchenette with a small dining area, a double bedroom with another room across the landing which could be used as a second bedroom for a family and the bathroom on the top floor. Having a fridge was very useful for drinks & pucnic lunches. We definitely got our steps in, but perhaps not ideal for older or less mobile. We also had use of the dining room in the main house, along with an upstairs living room & balcony. We were greeted really warmly by Cathy & Jean-Marie with cold drinks. Breakfasts were lovely with breads, pastries, cheeses, fruit, yoghurt, and eggs prepared to order. Our hosts were kind, informative, and very interesting. They were very accommodating and relaxed about family staying at other properties in the area, joining us for drinks, etc., My husband & I are already planning a return visit to further explore the area & intend to stay here again.

B&B in southern France

Staying in someone's home in another country is amazing. Having the opportunity to talk with them about their every day life is quite an adventure. The location of the facility is such that we parked in a nearby parking lot and walked up - the road is VERY narrow!
Cathy and Jean Marie were excellent hosts. We were there two nights and our dates were in between other guests. We had picked up a sandwich in Arles on our way and had some wine left over from one of our stops - thus we were set for dinner; we ate on the upstairs outdoor balcony near our upstairs room. The village is small and there isn't anywhere really close by to eat. The 2nd night we walked up the hill to the village and purchased cheese, meats, olives and bread for our dinner. Since we were driving we didn't want to be out after dark in the car. This is a small village and there is a beautiful church nearby that rings the bells in the evening and morning (call to prayer)! Jean Marie prepared our lovely breakfast both mornings with Cathy popping in to chat (they share this duty depending on their work schedule). The courtyard is charming and the weather was perfect. Jean Marie also drew us a map and told us of nearby places to see and eat. We had a lovely day touring around Caracassone and other little nearby villages.

If heaven were a place on earth

I came across Camellas-Lloret on Instagram about 2 years ago and had been dreaming of waking up there ever since. This winter my Love and I booked in for a weekend and to say it was the dreamiest weekend we've had in a cold, snowy December is an understatement. I was a little apprehensive as one would usually think of the South of France in the height of summer but do not rule out Winter, it’s just as wonderful in a different way.
Arriving in Montreal late in the evening we were met with a beautiful snow-fall and even more beautiful was the welcome of Annie and Colin at Camellas-Lloret. Stepping inside their home is akin to that of what you might heaven to be like.
Annie and Colin, the coolest couple were such incredibly kind, warm and welcoming hosts. They feel like life-long friends b=from the beginning. They live in the house too which brings an extra sense of love to the place and every single request, question or wonder we had was met with such genuine considerateness. Each morning Colin offers a suggested plan for the day if you wish to explore the area and the chats over breakfast are to be treasured with both of them.
I'm a huge lover of interiors and step-by-step I was blown away - it's romantic and warm, calming and breathtakingly stunning - leaving you to wish, within the first 5 minutes that you'd only booked for longer. The house itself is a love project of Annie’s who is herself a renowned interior designer and you can tell, each room, down to every last detail has been lovingly thought about yet done with the utmost of ease.
The included breakfast is DIVINE each morning. Annie bakes something delightful to accompany the healthy French style meal and the best coffee we had all weekend. We ate out for lunches and by dinner time we were thrilled to head back and have a light snack which Annie and Colin kindly let us use the kitchen to prepare. Warming up with a glass of white wine and a book or magazine by the open fire and we were the happiest couple on the planet.
The area is easily explored but you definitely need a car and after that there is literally nothing I can say about Camellas-Lloret that doesn’t touch on being absolutely the dreamiest weekend we’ve ever had.We canNOT wait to return.

Relaxing, informal and very welcoming

We had an excellent 3 night stay, we were made to feel very welcome by Annie and Colin. The house is renovated in such a unique way that says luxury but not in a fussy way; Annie has got this just right. We were greeted by snow! The real fire in the beautiful lounge was a godsend and really made us feel at home. Colin gave us tips of places to visit and places to eat.
Montreal village is extremely quiet, in a real sleepy French way. It’s a great base to stay in order to explore the surrounding areas. A car is necessary if you wish to explore. I would recommend this to anybody wishing to see the real France, and especially if you’re looking for a place to chill.

Exquisite.

Simply put, we'll be back! My wife and I recently spent four nights at Camellas-Lloret and I know that I can speak for us both when I say that it was unequivocally the highlight of our five week trip throughout Europe. Annie and Colin have created a stunningly beautiful and comfortable place to relax in between trips exploring the gorgeous Languedoc region. My wife is generally a tough one to please, and from the moment we entered the property, she couldn't stop complimenting every last detail, from the beautiful property itself, to Colin's hand-written maps and itineraries, down to Annie's homemade jams and everything in between. Whether you're looking to simply getaway and unwind with a book, some amazing home cooking and an incredible glass of wine, or looking to explore all the AMAZING history and culture that Montreal and the surrounding villages have to offer, Camellas-Lloret is the perfect place to call home for a stretch.
