A relaxed place to stay. Very convenient. Close to train station,shops and walking distance to the beach. Staff were all friendly. Will stay again next time we come to Nice.

I found that the air conditioner was not working as promissed. The front desk told me at the login that there was air conditioner, charged me the city tax, only to find 10 minutes later that it was not true that they have air conditioner. When I asked when the air conditioner will be repaired I was told that maybe the next day. I had to pay another hotel nearby. Three days later under my request the city tax was refunded. During the few minutes that I was in the hotel room I could confirm that there are not acomodations for people with disabilities ( I had to carry my bags upstairs for two long stair stretches) in the room I noticed that the towels and bed sheets were gray, not blank as it should be, they seemed to be not very clean, and the shower curtain was totally dirty and molded. I politely request one night refund of the reservation I made two months before, and my request was denied. I will advise to avoid this place.

Great and helpful staff, but hotel was a bit gone to seed from its Golden Era (the early 1900s?). The room was a little bleak (but with high ceilings) and the bathroom had a heavy plumbing odor (I cannot comment as to if this is the hotel, or just Nice or large). Certain amenities which should have been provided are only available at a surcharge (holding bags, morning coffee, etc.).

Good location - very close to the railway station and the beach (wallking distance); some grocery stores and cafes and restaurants nearby.
The hotel is old and outdated - everything is mismatched - I don't think it has ever been renovated. Our room was on the main floor close to the entrance.The room smelled moldy and stuffy. The plumbing is really poor, and the bathroom always smelled bad. There was black mold on the bathroom ceiling.The sound isolation is non-existent - it was so noisy with people coming and going constantly it was hard to sleep. This space should not be used as a room.
The rooms on the other floors might be better, but this room on the main floor was terrible.

Room – The room was quite small and dated. The carpet was very old, and the bathroom, particularly the shower, was extremely small (approximately 2x2 ft) and in need of a full renovation. The design made it difficult to contain water, which may have contributed to an unpleasant odor. Despite these drawbacks, the bed itself was comfortable.
Service – The staff were excellent. They were welcoming, helpful, and even allowed us to store our luggage at no charge, which was greatly appreciated.
Hotel – From the outside, the property is charming, with a pleasant courtyard in the front. There is also a shared kitchen area with a fridge and microwave available for guest use, which is a nice convenience.
Location – The location is outstanding. It is within easy walking distance of both the train station and the beach, with a streetcar connection to the airport just minutes away. We were able to walk from the streetcar stop to the hotel in about five minutes, even with luggage. There are also electric bike rentals nearby, which makes exploring the area very convenient.
Overall – This hotel has great potential. With some investment in updates—such as removing the carpets, installing vinyl or tile flooring, and fully renovating the bathrooms with a more open design and modern glass-enclosed showers—it could be an excellent place to stay and one I would gladly return to in the future if rooms were updated.
