Beautiful establishment that you should not hesitate to book.

"Adèle's room": a magnificent, comfortable room, with everything you need to feel good: large, very comfortable bed with 4 pillows, sofa in the room, tea/coffee maker, bottles of water for reception, large TV in front of the bed, storage space, box of tissues.
Large, well-appointed bathroom with bathrobes, washcloth (which is very rare!), walk-in shower, and decorative objects.
Very friendly welcome.
I highly recommend this place which fully deserves its 3*.

Abominable evening in the country house

We stayed at the hotel and ate at the restaurant. We asked for two vegetarian meals. At lunch, my girlfriend didn't eat a dish. The owner came to us, extremely provoking, to literally yell at us, to speak insultingly, to reproach us, to tell anything. The people at the restaurant were trying to silence him, the waitress was apologizing. Everyone was outraged. We had to leave the restaurant without finishing the meal. After sending him out for a walk, he returned, completely out of control, his eyes injected with blood, leaving no doubt. It became harassment, he kept repeating the same thing without tail or head. He hadn't explained us properly for the room key, he came back to give a damn about our face, lecture us. Our evening was ruined. For good measure, he tried to rip us off on drinks we hadn't taken. This person has no place to be in a public place. His actions were reported to the ICC and the police. ABSOLUTELY RUN AWAY.

Hotel to escape

We had booked 2 nights
The Hotelier was unpleasant from our arrival reflection on our arrival time 2pm scheduled at 1pm ....
And about the fact that he was giving us an access card because he said “you don’t think I’m going to stand there waiting for you all day” in an unpleasant tone.
We had booked for dinner....
The disaster... it led to a series of thoughts... and everything went wrong for the naming of a wine.
Eventually he yelled at us and asked us to leave his establishment.
We met on the street at 8:00.
I think that person should seek medical treatment or do some other job.

Perfectly wonderful

Charming little place where all four rooms are individually decorated. Our room was spacious, with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. The village (462 people) is up the road from Collonges-la-Rouge, and a wonderful point of departure for many excursions in the Dordogne area. The restaurant is excellent and the owners very friendly.

Fantastic!

What a superb hotel set in the picturesque French countryside. The rooms and the hotel itself are furnished and decorated to a very high standard. This could definitely be described as a "boutique" hotel! It only has a few rooms so booking is essential if you are not to be disappointed.
There are many pretty French villages in the area that are well worth a visit. I would definitely stay here again, but for a bit longer and explore the local area.
The owners are very friendly and speak good English. The whole atmosphere was very relaxed, a great place to de-stress!
With regards to an evening meal, make sure you check with the hotel if the restaurant is open. It does close on some evenings, particularly if it is early in the week and there aren't any other guests booked in that have requested an evening meal. There are restaurants in the nearby towns and villages though.
I very much look forward to staying here again!
