Absolutely one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Super clean. Wonderful views. And helpful staff. We’ll come back.

Fine but not 4 star
This hotel is in a great location. We didn’t have to wait to check in. The room had very good aircon and was fairly clean however we did have staff knocking twice in the same evening to ask if we wanted cleaning, this was at around 6pm when we trying to get ready to go out.
There were nice toiletries provided & good quality towels and linen.
On check-in I asked if there was anywhere to fill up my water bottle (it was 36 degrees), the staff said there was nowhere we could get water from in the hotel. I found this really odd, surely a basic thing the hotel could ensure is provided especially in the heat. Luckily there were water bottles in the fridge in the room so I’m not sure why this wasn’t mentioned.
There seemed to be only 1 lift for the entire hotel which took a while and would be difficult for people who cannot manage stairs.
The room itself is basic and the finish/maintenance was quite poor, skirting board coming away from the wall creating a trip hazard and the window wouldn’t open.
Breakfast was substandard and I have had better in 2 star hotels. The coffee was fine but not fresh and it came out of a machine. On the first morning we stayed the hot food was ok but on mornings 2 and 3 the food had already gone cold by the time we got there at about 08:30. I mentioned this to the staff on the second morning, the food wasn’t reheated and it was the same again the next morning, all gone to room temperature. They didn’t seem at all interested in sorting it out. There was limited offer on juices, the apple juice tasted fizzy like it had been left out.
Overall I would expect much better for the price we paid and it being rated a 4 star hotel.

Comfortable hotel with well equipped rooms, and friendly staff.
Having arrived later than expected we were looking forward to getting to our room. However, we were told that they did not have a room for us, and they would get a taxi to take us to another hotel. We didn't have much choice. The other hotel was 3 star, rather rough around the edges, with smaller rooms, and it was further away from the sights we were planning to visit. Next morning we repacked and took the taxi back to the Castiglione. The hotel staff were very apologetic. When we saw our room, it was beautiful, a world away from the previous one. The bed was very comfortable. There was a bath with fabulous shower over, in a very spacious bathroom. The air con worked well (it was 36degrees outside) and was quiet enough to stay on all night. There was plenty of wardrobe space and bedside drawers for bits and pieces. The desk had a coffee machine, which we didn't need, but also a kettle to make our tea or coffee. I would suggest you take your own preferred tea or coffee, the ones supplied were rather niche. Milk can be purchased from a little supermarket round the corner, and can be kept in the fridge. There were sufficient cutlery and crockery, which are washed by the cleaner daily. Next morning breakfast was an experience. There is so much to choose from, including fresh orange juice, fruit salad, smoked salmon, cheeses, ham, bacon, egg etc, pastries, breads, and pancakes with a range of spreads. The only problem I had was the noise from outside overnight. Every vehicle was loud, especially the motorbikes. We could even hear people talking in the street from 4 floors above. I think the windows need better soundproofing.

Hotel to avoid returning to.
Hotel De Castiglione is a 4-star hotel, but it has very little of the 4 stars. I have traveled the world and I can say this with the utmost certainty. The location is certainly convenient, situated between Concordia Square and Maddalena Square, and the metro stop is less than 5 minutes from the hotel. The room is average; it lacked a coat rack. Some lights in the room were not working, and they were fixed as soon as we reported it. The bathroom had a nearly clogged sink; the water did not drain except after quite a while. We reported it immediately, but nothing was done, so for all 4 nights we had to deal with the water not draining except after quite a while. There was no outlet in the bathroom; fortunately, I always travel with an extension cord and adapters, but this is the first time I have not found an outlet in the bathroom.
The warm air conditioning was not working; my wife asked for an extra blanket twice, but they never gave it to us. Still in the bathroom, the drawer under the sink could not be opened because it would fall to the floor.
We arrived at the hotel at 3:00 PM, and the next morning, like all tourists do, we left at 9:00 AM to explore Paris. Upon returning to the hotel at 6:00 PM, the room had not been cleaned. They apologized, telling us that they would take care of it at that moment, but that we would have to wait 15 minutes; of course, we said no because we wanted to take a shower and rest.
The next day, around 7:00 PM, while we were resting, a maid entered the room without knocking first. Everywhere I have gone, they knock first to see if someone is inside before opening the door.
The continental breakfast was good with a lot of variety in both sweet and savory options, but it was served in a room that was cold and not heated, so we had to hurry to eat.
The moral of the story is that they have nothing of a 4-star hotel. The experience was definitely negative; the location was excellent, practically right in the center.

ATTENTION TO FUTURE RESERVATIONS
This hotel, for health reasons, does not want to refund or change my date with the more than €1200 that I have paid.
They are very bad people and greedy.
I have also been to the hotel, and it leaves much to be desired for a 4-star establishment.
I recommend that you look for another establishment.
