A rip-off, and extremely bad customer service!
We had booked and prepaid a junior suite for three people / four nights at the Hotel Panache Paris hotel through Agoda.com. But on arrival, the lady at the reception told us the junior suite was only for two persons. She kept on insisting this until I showed her a printed proof of our booking and payment, showing clearly that we had paid for the suite plus an additional fee and an extra bed since we were three. After almost an hour of waiting, we finally got the room we had paid for.
Then all was well for a little over two days, when suddenly the air condition in our room stopped blowing cold air. We spent Saturday evening and night thinking it must be a temporary issue, but when we woke up on Sunday, the room was still hot. Since we were going out all of Sunday, we hoped it would be solved until the evening when we were back again.
But getting back at our room around 9PM, the room was still extremely hot (26 degrees). I went down and talked to the man at the reception. He said he couldn’t do anything but give us a fan. He said he could check if there was a different room we could transfer to, but I said we were checking out in only 8 hours, and was in the process of packing all our luggage. He agreed it would be very impractical to pack everything at 10:30PM, change rooms, unpack the things we needed in the new room, then get up at 04:30AM to pack again. He then said we could talk about a solution in the morning when checking out.
After a horribly hot night, we went down to check out. The same guy said was there, and said that of course the hotel would offer us a refund, and he said over and over again how sorry he was. But to get a refund, we would have to contact Agoda, as he couldn’t do anything about it there and then. But he ensured us the hotel would support everything we had talked about, and support our claim.
So, we contacted Agoda after we got home. Just like the hotel told us to. However, Agoda says that the hotel doesn’t agree with our description…! They claim that the AC was only down for a few hours.
Well, talk about being scammed… We paid €1200 for an air-conditioned suite, with an AC that worked barely 2/3 of the time. The only thing Agoda has offered us is USD 50 worth of so called “AgodaCash”. Not a refund, but credits we can use when ordering our next trip through Agoda…
They might try to sell this hotel as a cool and trendy place in Paris. But if you actually happen to need help from them, don’t count on getting anything else but being scammed and backstabbed.

Taxi Scammers
Very nice hotel, but no view only what annoyed me the most was that they lie. Never buy a taxi from them!!! They scam you. They tell normal prices, but ended up paying a mega high amount. Really mega sad. Bunch of scammers. Especially this number plate (see attachment)

Great Place to Stay While in Paris
Very nice hotel in the Montmarte district. The front desk staff were very helpful in answering all of our questions about local restaurants, best ways to get to sites, etc. We highly commend the following front desk staff for their help and recommendations - Daria and Yasmine. They were great. The location of the hotel is within minutes of the Metro and bus stops. There is also a laundromat a few doors down for those who may be spending a bit of time in Paris. The room we had was nice and had a balcony that we could have used, but as it was very cold during our visit we chose not to take advantage of it. The room was rather small, which is typical of lots of European hotels, but it was perfect for us. We would definitely stay there again.

Great experience-highly recommend
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were excellent—kind, warm, and genuinely friendly from start to finish. My room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and the housekeeping was outstanding throughout my stay. Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy, which made everything feel effortless. I was truly delighted with my experience and will definitely return the next time I visit Paris.
