Valentines Weekend.

We had a fabulous weekend here for Valentine’s. Truly memorable and great company throughout. We made new friends during this lovely weekend. Our hosts, Billy and Ben, were exemplary with the perfect level of attention and leaving us to our own devices. Itineraries were provided with useful information about the local area which enhanced the experience. Our food and drink was excellent throughout the weekend and the rooms were comfortable and beautifully presented. Topped off by a special evening we could not have asked for more. Thank you and we would definitely return.

Lovely house, good value for money.

The hosts are welcoming, the house has plenty of charm and the gardens are lovely. We bought too much for our dinner so didn't have the breakfast that was available. The main bedroom in the 3 bedroom apartment is beautifully decorated but we chose to sleep in the twin room which was a mistake as the single beds were on casters and were very mobile! As others have said, it's a lovely place but looking a bit run down to compete with what else is available in the area. Having said that it is excellent value.

A romantic dream in the splendours of a tastefully renovated castle

Come to celebrate a first kiss 52 years ago this castle is a real haven for eternal love! Ben and Billie restored this building with great taste and creativity
The wallpapers of the rooms is extraordinary and unfortunately not found in France
A stay that plunged us into 19th century romanticism with warm and welcoming hosts

Nothing like the photos that are on the website.

The gardens were very tired and unkempt. Scruffy tables and furniture was fallen apart…fag ends were in the ashtray when we arrived and were still then when we left..!
I accept there had been a storm but the whole place looked very tired..!!!

Fantastic weekend.

One of the most memorable stays we have had. Valentines weekend special event hosted by Ben and Billie where our expectations were both met and exceeded. Comfortable room, superb food and entertainment and our hosts were extremely attentive and welcoming.
Plenty of things to do in the area including a wine tour at a local producer which was a real eye opener into the production of sparkling wine.
Can’t recommend La Grande Maison highly enough.
