Unforgettable 160th anniversary party!

Evening of the 160th anniversary of this exceptional house, everything was perfect: the entertainment, the atmosphere, the sublime meal!
Again we are not disappointed by this restaurant!

Terrible

A truly terrible experience, absolutely not up to the standard of a 5-star hotel. In my opinion, not even a 3-star hotel would deserve such a rating.
We arrived in the evening at 10:30 PM and there was no one at the reception. We had to wait about 20 minutes before someone arrived, even though we had called the number indicated on the reception desk several times.
Once we arrived, they assigned us the rooms knowing perfectly well that we were traveling with two children. Well, they gave us two rooms completely on the opposite side of the property, without even bothering to assign them to us nearby. A truly absurd situation that shows little regard for the needs of guests.
Upon entering our room, we even found a cricket wandering around the room that kept chirping. Luckily we managed to catch it, but it is certainly not what one expects when entering a hotel that presents itself as 5 stars.
As if that were not enough, the bed in our room was broken underneath. In both rooms, moreover, the air conditioner had a hose that necessarily had to be run out the window: a decidedly inelegant solution and, in my opinion, unacceptable for a facility of this category.
In Italy, a 5-star hotel is something else entirely: one expects attention, organization, comfort, cleanliness, and above all, service that lives up to the declared category. Unfortunately, we did not find any of this at this facility.
A disappointing experience from every point of view. I certainly would not return and I do not feel like recommending it.

Beautiful hotel, but I expected much more from a 5-star hotel

Hotel Villa Navarre is undoubtedly a beautiful hotel. The 19th-century mansion is spectacular and the surroundings are lovely. However, our experience did not live up to what we expected from a five-star hotel.
Regarding the staff, the reception staff could communicate in English, although only to a limited extent. With the rest of the staff, such as housekeeping, the buffet staff and room service, communication in English was practically impossible. We do not expect everyone to speak Spanish, but in a hotel of this category, I believe it should be possible to communicate more easily, at least in English.
What disappointed us the most was the room and, above all, finding several insects. As soon as we entered, we found a fairly large insect in the middle of the sofa bed. Later, when we returned from the spa, we found another fairly large insect in the middle of the room. When we moved the sofa bed, we also found another dead insect behind it, which gave us the impression that this area had not been properly cleaned for quite some time.
Honestly, finding several insects inside a room, especially one directly on the bed, is something I do not think should happen in a five-star hotel.
In addition, the sauna in the spa was not working during our stay.
The buffet was also quite limited in variety for a five-star hotel.
Overall, the hotel is beautiful and has a lot of charm thanks to its 19th-century mansion, but several aspects of our stay were clearly below what we expected from a five-star establishment.
The thing that disappointed us the most was undoubtedly finding insects in the room. It is a shame, because the property itself is truly beautiful and has a lot of potential.

Not very welcoming.
Restaurant not open on first night & told on second night they had a group booking & we could eat in our room.
Went out to local restaurants all 3 nights.
