The hotel is beautiful, impeccably clean, and offers breathtaking sea views. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, and the spa is the perfect place to relax. Every member of the staff was kind, professional, and genuinely caring.
A special thank you to Julie, who made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made a real difference during our stay. She truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.
We are very grateful for the warm hospitality we received and would highly recommend L'Agapa Hotel & Spa to anyone visiting Brittany.

Good hotel rooms but very disappointing restaurant
For my wife’s birthday I asked the day before if they could make a small chocolate gateaux for 2 with a candle or a desert with “Happy Birthday/Bon Anniversaire” written on the plate and I was told this would be possible however on her birthday they produced a candle in a tiny macaroon with a few chopped up strawberries around it and served in what looked like a small ashtray! I thought it was a joke. Unbelievable.
After three nights eating at the hotel we couldn’t face going back so tried a busy restaurant next to the beach. There is a great Carrefour City mini supermarket within a short walk from the hotel which we found very useful.
The hotel rooms are fine and our room had a sea view. The room lacked storage so you wouldn’t want to stay more than a week because of the small wardrobes and lack of chest of drawers and bedside drawers. We took two small camping tables which came in handy. Soap dispensers in the bathroom were too high for my wife to use. Bedside shelves only just big enough for a paperback book and phone. Covered parking is a good feature because the car and contents were kept cool.
We didn’t use the pool or the spa because we preferred to go to the excellent beach which was only 10 minutes away (15 minutes on the way back because of the 130 steps). Reception and housekeeping staff were very helpful.
We had room service a couple of times for some light breakfast but I had to ask for a breakfast card from reception rather that it being left in the room each day.

Many positive points but very uneven service.
Negative point, the service lacks precision for a 5-star hotel. For this price level, one expects better. A few examples: a very unpleasant person greets us coldly for our first breakfast, an interminable wait at the bar the first evening, the staff at the front desk ignoring us while we were waiting for information. (a little "hello, one moment" would have been welcome) etc.. Each time, nothing serious or important, but the accumulation of these little details is not pleasant.

Lovely location but terrible service.
No pre-dinner drinks available as we were told that ALL staff were at their evening meal between 6.30pm and 7.00pm. Sat at table at 7.30 and waited 30 minutes to be given a menu. It was nearly two hours before the main course available!
Food very expensive and very disappointing ....the duck was tough; the asparagus stringy and the fish (smothered in sauce) was tasteless.
As an amputee confined to a wheelchair, the room was fine and accessible but the shower needs redesigning. The grab rails are too low and the soap dispensers placed behind the stool are too high.
When I mentioned all these grievances in the morning Julie was apologetic but so far there has not been the courtesy of an explanation or apology from "management".
As an expensive hotel, it was supposed to be a high-spot of our stay in Brittany but was very disappointing.

Nice (if slightly sterile feeling) room with decent AC working well in the heat wave. Pool and outdoor deck area are real highlights of the hotel with an amazing view over the beach and towards the pink granite coast.
Service at reception nice and friendly, but pretty hit and miss at the bar and restaurant.
Overall a nice stay with the hotel views being a real highlight.
