Beautiful house and very friendly and friendly owners.
Castle of character of very fine craftsmanship, beautifully restored and decorated. Absolutely adorable owners and doing everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Many thanks to Frederic for his advice and expert opinions on the area to visit and to his wife Kahna for her kindness and exceptional friendliness. We will return without hesitation and enjoy the pool that we did not use for lack of time. The Diderot suite where we slept is beautifully decorated and has all modern comforts. Quality bedding and very functional bathroom.

Could not stay
I tend not to post bad reviews but just hated this place. We stayed 5 minutes only as it was nothing like the pictures and had an air of neglect. We asked the gentleman if we could have our money back as it was not as portrayed. No restaurant or swimming pool in use but he would not and he took the two nights we had booked for from our card details already given when booking online regardless. I have never before booked and been unable to stay but just could not in this case. Did not like the vibe. And that sounds a really hippyish thing to say but if you go you might understand.

More shabby than chic but utterly delightful
If you like authentic French chateaux you will know what to expect and will love the hotel and it's beautiful setting. The pool is set away from the house but gets plenty of sun all day long. Although it's chambres d'hotes rather than a full board hotel, the owners are attentive and helpful. If you get the chance to sample the cuisine (and that will require other guests to want to also), take it. It's good value and delicious.

Perfect place to stop over
Very clean and well kept. Comfortable beds. Spotlessly clean swimming pool. Run by a very nice and welcoming French-Cambodian family. We ate at the Chateau- bit of a strange atmosphere at dinner and would be so much better if they served in a more relaxed family style. Lovely food though.

Chateau on The Way to The South of France
My Wife and myself stayed at The Chateau de Prauthoy for 1 Night on our Way back to
Calais/England from The South of France.
It is located just Half an Hour North of Dijon, 10 Minutes off the Main Motorway to Troyes/Reims.
Restaurant was closed as Low Season / January.
We had a very Good Dinner just across The Road at The Local Restaurant in The Village,
named "Le Relais de Prauthoy". Amazing 3 Course Dinner for EUR15 x Person + Wines.
Chateau is Owned by a lovely Couple who also run the Place. He made us a lovely Breakfast
on the Covered Winter Terrace. Fresh Baguette and Croissants and Homemade Marmalade.
