An exceptional stay in the heart of the Côtes de Bourg and Blaye.

We had an absolutely remarkable three-day stay at Château Rousselle. From our arrival, we were charmed by the peaceful setting of this property, ideally nestled in the heart of the vineyards of Côtes de Bourg.
The welcome is particularly warm and personalized. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the detailed tour of the cellars and vineyard: led by a passionate and engaging owner-operator, this immersion into the daily life of the estate was a captivating and enriching experience, crowned by a magnificent tasting of the estate's wines.
Regarding accommodations, there is nothing to complain about: the rooms are impeccably clean, spacious, and very pleasant, offering all the necessary comfort for a restful stay.
A must-visit address for wine lovers and those seeking tranquility. We wholeheartedly recommend this exceptional Cru Bourgeois!

Fawlty Towers?

At 95 Euro for a night this was extremely overpriced compared to anywhere else we have stayed in France in the April-May period. By way of comparison we stayed in two different Chateau's either night of our stay here, both within 50 kilometers of this one, both were 20 to 25 Euro cheaper and were both in a completely different class compared to this ramshackle joke.
When I stay in a Chateau I actually like to stay 'in' the chateau rather than an outbuilding which has been cheaply decorated, furnished and supplied.
Uncomfortable bed, Shower and bath which both ran water at the same time, basic toiletries (including the infamous pink toilet paper), tiny TV not set up properly, unkempt grounds and a swimming pool that was so slimy I wouldn't let my dog swim in it.
Each to their own I guess but I certainly wouldn't stay here again.

Great location

We stayed here in the family room as there were the 4 of us. We were on our way down through France and planned to get the Blaye ferry the next morning. The room was very comfortable with a really good shower. There was also an outdoor pool which we didn't get a chance to use. Isabel was very welcoming and was happy top give advice on the area etc

A little paradise outside Blaye

Overnight stop on way to Vendee. The chateau is beautiful and although you don't stay IN the chateau - in converted outhouses - you get the romantic feel of the old house.
Ours was a large family room with a mezzanine holding two single beds with a generous double below. Lovely bathroom with excellent walk in shower. We were greeted by Isabelle and a glass of their wine which was delicious.
There is a small swimming pool, which I don't recall seeing on the website so dips were taken in evening and early morning.
We drove into Blaye for supper which is about a 10 minute drive. Loads of choice. Excellent market on Saturday morning in Blaye.
We will be staying again, soon, I hope.
Merci Isabelle et Vincent.

Very nice

We spent one night here on our way to Spain. We'd visited 6 years before to taste the wine but couldn't stay and always wanted to return.
We were greeted by Isobelle and offered a wine.
As it was hot we headed for the pool.
You are not staying in the chateau but the rooms are very nice with plenty of room. We drove to Blaye and had a wonderful dinner there at Auberge des Officiers.
Breakfast was okay, served in a small room in the chateau. It looked like it had recently been redocorated.

Very good location
