Deplorable
After specifically booking a room with air conditioning (more expensive, of course), we were notified by phone a few days before our arrival that it was broken but that we would have a fan at our disposal.
Upon our arrival, we were surprised to clearly feel the air conditioning at the reception, but still no AC in the room (???). Furthermore, the towel warmer in the bathroom (which opens into the bedroom without a door) is on, burning hot, and impossible to turn off! We slept with the balcony window wide open!
When we mentioned it to the receptionist the next morning, her first reaction was not to apologize but to say "well, the bill is going to be steep"... What consideration for the well-being of the guests... (this also led us to think that the air conditioning "breakdown" was perhaps "economic") and at no point were we offered any compensation!!
Obviously, we will never return to this establishment, and we will obviously publicize it on various sites.

disappointing hotel
disappointed with this hotel room at 117€ without breakfast
room and shower aging.
The breakfast at 12.90 € extra per person is simply exaggerated
the bare minimum. (even at Formule 1, it is much better)

Top-notch managers!
Unfortunately, we encountered a period of extreme heat while the hotel's air conditioning had just broken down.
As a result, 31 degrees Celsius in the rooms upon our arrival and the temperature never dropped below 30 degrees even at night...
No place to cool off, horrible night (despite a Dyson fan lent by the managers to try to ease the situation in my elderly parents' room) and inability to recover physically.
Very disappointed and exhausted, and with the air conditioning still malfunctioning, we had to leave the hotel the next morning.
Thank you immensely to the couple managing the hotel, who were attentive and sought solutions to the suffering situation of my elderly parents!
Then, in light of our early departure, they proceeded to refund the total for the nights and breakfasts not taken, plus a discount on the night we stayed (under extreme heat conditions).
This commercial gesture and their attentiveness touched us; the commitment of the managers to satisfy their clients deserves to be highlighted!
We will gladly return to the Hotel de la Corniche outside of heatwave periods!
