A lovely getaway

The house, bedrooms and whole site is gorgeous. Our hosts, a very kind and approachable family, made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The locally-sourced home-made breakfast was delicious. We strongly recommend this place for a halt or a longer highly relaxing stay.

Beautiful property

Magnificent property with a lot of character. The welcome is perfect. Sabine and Steven are very friendly and discreet. We were welcomed with a large glass of homemade syrup, very refreshing. Our room was great, the breakfast perfect. The owners do everything to make you feel comfortable. It's a shame we could only stay one night. I recommend the place and I will remember the address.

Oasis of calm

The small hunting lodge is decorated with great taste and the guest table was a wonderful experience with selected wine. The large garden invites you to linger and is very well maintained. The owners value preserving the original character of the beautiful house, which is all its charm and they are very accommodating!

Luxury stay

We’ve waited so long to stay here & we finally got to stay at chateau gioux . Absolutely stunning chateau within beautiful grounds Debbie & Nigel the perfect hosts . Evening meal cooked by the lovely Deb absolutely delicious a fantastic cook.
We stayed in the vassiviere suite beautiful decorated room comfortable luxury bed & en-suite with roll top bath just beautiful.
Debbie & Nigel couldn’t do enough for us such lovely people .
We used the hot tub within the grounds which gave a stay that extra special touch . A wonderful stay ,highly recommend.
Thank you so much for a wonderful 2 nights stay .

Loved it!

We have just returned from a holiday in France and en route we spent a night at Chateau Gioux.
I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Debbie and Nigel are excellent hosts; we received a very warm welcome (including a large glass of wine) and they were extremely attentive throughout our stay.
Our room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated and the chateau was charming throughout.
We enjoyed a delicious evening meal cooked by Debbie. Moreover it was excellent value and included a bottle of wine. Our breakfast was also thoroughly enjoyed.
The chateau is in a peaceful, very pretty rural area and we certainly hope to return again on our trips through this wonderful country.
