Excellent. Recommend
Excellent restaurant. Excellent value for money. The service is impeccable. The quality of the processed and fresh products is perfect. If you pass near limoges, it is essential as a restaurant. Deserves a semi-gourmet

Foie gras is oxidized
The “meat ” dish is a vermicelli of who knows what, everything except meat, even though we are in Limousin, famous for its meat. We wouldn't even give it to the dog.
Everything is surely meant to be inventive!

A Real Gem!
A return visit for us and, once again, a great stay with fantastic hospitality from our hosts. The house is gradually being upgraded by the owners who are recreating a comfortable hotel with many tradititional features.
A good bedroom with views of the river and the viaduct. Comfortable bed and good clean bathroom too.
Dinner was absolutely wonderful, with lots of special touches which make it pretty unique given the very reasonable prices.
Thank you so much for another great stay.....we will be back!

Hidden Gem
We stayed at this small hotel for just one night and wished it had been more, The hotel is old and yes there is work that needs doing to it but this to us adds to the character. There is a lovely garden out at the front which looks very pretty. Its a young couple who own this hotel and they do absolutely everything themselves. The husband is the chef and the wife runs front of house. Our room was small but had everything you needed including free wi fi everywhere was very clean and our room was overlooking the river which had a bridge and a viaduct which could be seen from our room. The dining room is quirky with a lovely display of pottery and art work which is for sale. The food was excellent and Breakfast was also very good. Both my husband and I have had mobility problems and the husband insisted on helping us with our bags when we arrived and when we left when he then had a long chat with us they were both so very friendly. This is a very small village and the hotel is definitely a hidden gem.

Lovely hotel in the process of being modernised
I stayed at this hotel for one night while driving to Spain as an overnight halt. On arriving I was struck by the lovely location of the hotel in the small village of Saint-Priest-Taurion, which has a beautiful river running through it, and a large bridge over the river.
The outside of the hotel is really attractive, it is a fairly old building, with flower boxes bursting with colour and the entrance has been recently renovated.
We wee met by the owner, a lovely lady who spoke a little English (luckily my mother speaks French). She owns the hotel together with her husband, who is the chef. They do everything themselves and as such the restoration and modernisation of the hotel is still very much work in progress.
We were shown to our room on the first floor which was in good condition, if a little cramped for 3 people. The bathroom was a little old fashioned, but everything worked and was spotlessly clean. The view from the room was of the river - a welcome addition! The decor of the most of the hotel is bamboo canes instead of wallpaper, which is slightly odd and I suspect was inherited from the previous proprietors.
We had supper in the restaurant, which was superbly tasty - I had a cheese mousse on toast to start, followed by trout (presumably local) with noodles and vegetables and to finish there Wass a delicious clafoutis with passion fruit sorbet. Breakfast he next day was also good, with cereal, bread, croissants and other things on offer.
All in all, this is a great place to stay, be it for one night or a longer period - you won't be enough disappointed!
