Wonderful experience

Magnificent place, grandiose guard room. Clean. Quiet. Saturday morning breakfast taken on the terrace with beautiful sunshine on the park. But what a disappointment to wake up Sunday morning with the same sun and have to resign ourselves to eating breakfast inside. We asked if we could sit outside and were told that showers were expected... despite a blue sky and a weather forecast with no rain for the coming week. What a shame to leave this place on such a negative note,

Perfectly-situated for discovering the Loire

Brilliantly located just out of Amboise - perfect for discovering the wines and chateaux of the Loire valley.
A beautifully restored and decorated chateau. The rooms look out over fields, a lake and a lovely swimming pool.
There's also a wonderful salon of activities for evenings in or lounging on velvet covered sofas.

We stayed in the big room which is separate to the main chateau - a short walk. It was private and the vaulted ceilings were stunning. Spacious. Grounds were pleasant. The two pianos did not work, nor did the foosball table. Pianos are hard to fix I know especially when they’re that broken, but in that case probably don’t mention them as an activity during checkin. The foosball table is a five minute handyman fix.

Not worth the $$$

The pictures are great but the property is dated and is not well maintained. We had 1 evening with no hot water, the wifi and TVs did not work in our room for the entire stay. Manager was made aware of the issues but was unable to fix and was unapologetic about it. Don't count on playing ping pong or foosball either as the equipment is in disrepair and unplayable. Very disappointed in the facility and service. The location is pretty good.

Absolutely fantastic! A very charming property in a gorgeous, secluded location with helpful staff.
