Hospitality with variable geometry: the welcome depends on the mood of the moment

A very disappointing experience, where the main problem clearly remains the owner's lack of social skills. Far from embodying the hospitality expected of a bed and breakfast, she gives more of a feeling of imposing her way of doing things and her presence than of welcoming her visitors. Breakfasts become a moment to be endured, largely devoted to her own life, leaving little room for the guests and their privacy.
Comfort is not there either: bed much too soft, noise pollution linked to the frequent and early barking of the neighbor's dog, which our neighbors in the next room had warned us about as soon as we arrived.
For one night with a late arrival at 7 p.m., it can possibly help out when there is no other solution in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. But for a bed and breakfast experience, it clearly doesn't measure up: the owner lacks a sense of welcome and hospitality, and instead of questioning herself, she looks down on everyone.

We've missed a little something to call this place an exceptional step

1 night in Guest house after sightseeing downtown and SPA massages.

Beautiful quiet property with large spaces and easy parking, small terrace in front of the room.
Warm welcome and hosts available.
The -
Italian shower that completely floods the bathroom, nothing to put shower gel-soap-shampoo in the shower.
Bedding too soft when you have a fragile back, and too bad that the bed is normal size.
Not enough electrical outlets on both sides of the bed (unfortunately have become indispensable to charge phones, tablets, cameras...).
Well-equipped kitchen (sink, dishes, fridge, microwave, table-chairs) to share with a 2nd bedroom and patio door opening outwards.
Breakfast to be had in this kitchenette, in the passage (and drafts): no calm or privacy.

Modern & "countryside" feel

This accommodation is in St Remy but on the outskirts of the town so you are out of the bustle and the bustle. You even hear a donkey bray on an adjoining property. Natahlie's breakfasts are great and she is a graceful hostess. Rooms are not "serviced" daily but it is quick to make your own bed. There is a system to get clean towels.
St Remy is the "centre" of Provence and is a good base to explore the rest of the region.
No WiFi access.

Check out the Serenity

St Remy is a great base to explore Provenance. My wife and I shared the accomodation with another couple who are friends of ours. Natalie is a great host who makes a fantastic themed breakfast each morning. The property is immaculate with a sensational pool to relax by after a days touring. The bed is comfortable and bathroom has all you need. The surrounds are beautifully peaceful and quite. I would highly recommend.
