Beautiful holliday
Last week I was in this hotel for 1 week. It really was a very beautiful holiday and we had sunny weather. All the members of the crew were very friendly and adorable. There was a good atmosphere and it felt a little like home and family. The room was clean and comfortable. The food was fresh and delicious.
The animation-team was "top" with "Julien" who was there with concern and he knows the enviroment very good. The other animator was "Bouba" our "superbe" dance-teacher. He also presented several games with a lot of commitment and passion and he always helped me with translations (in English) so i could participate more with animation-activities.
The environment was very quietly and near to the beach. The center of Sainte Maxime is 30 minutes walking or you can take the bus ( 1 € ).
This hotel is truely recommanded. I hope to come back very soon.

Does not make you want to come back.
I agree with the review that was left by Nelly B.
Aside from the air-conditioned accommodation with a TV, which was beneficial during the heat waves, the rest really left something to be desired.
No atmosphere, little entertainment and of poor quality, repetitive meals and of unpleasant quality.
The excuse mentioned to vacationers is the lack of experienced activity leaders, the lack of a gardener and catering staff, as well as the new manager who arrived in April and is doing his best to remedy the situation.
Furthermore, the outdoor areas are left abandoned, where we found furniture destined for the dump (chairs, sofa...).
Proximity access to the beach would have been a plus if it were clean (plastic waste on the edge of the beach).
Bad experience that does not make you want to come back.

Very disappointed
We are returning from this stay with a very great disappointment. The atmosphere was nonexistent from beginning to end. There was practically no activity offered, no entertainment worthy of the name, and no evening events. The pool had no music, no atmosphere, with only a few people each day because the place was so empty. The water was also much too hot, which was not pleasant.
Several times, we asked for some music to be played at the pool to create a minimum of atmosphere, but our requests were never taken into account. We even ended up taking the club speaker ourselves and playing music from our phone. The server would regularly come to turn down the volume, so in the end, there was never any atmosphere.
The lack of staff was obvious. Several activity leaders even explained to us that they were resigning due to a lack of equipment and resources to organize activities. They confided in us that this was not what they were looking for, because their goal was to entertain the vacationers, but they had neither the resources nor the conditions to do so. This reflects a serious lack of professionalism on the part of the establishment.
An example that sums up the situation well: one evening when karaoke was planned, there was not even an activity leader to host it. In the end, it was the manager and a server who had to take over to try to host the evening. This shows just how much the establishment lacked staff and organization. Unfortunately, even with their good intentions, the atmosphere was not there.
I came with our two children, aged 15 and 4. They were also bored during the two weeks of vacation. After a few days, they were already asking us to go home because there was so little to do. It is very frustrating when you spend more than €2,500 for a vacation that is supposed to be a time of pleasure and relaxation.
The restaurant was not up to par either. The meals were very repetitive: almost always pasta, potatoes, fish, or pork. People who do not eat pork had very few choices. Furthermore, the dishes were always very dirty; we were always there looking for a clean plate or a clean fork, and no matter how much we told them, the staff did not care. Furthermore, the bar is closed from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, so no drinks or ice cream are available. Not even a snack, nothing at all.
The only real positive point is the beach, located just in front of the hotel. Unfortunately, it too was disappointing, with a huge amount of seaweed washed up on the shore, making the edge of the beach black and unwelcoming.
Finally, the clientele was composed in the vast majority of elderly people. We felt like we were in a facility for seniors rather than a family vacation club. This further reinforced the lack of atmosphere and activities adapted for families.
Many vacationers complained about the same problems: lack of activities, absence of music, lack of staff, completely nonexistent atmosphere, and cleanliness. We were really bored during the entire stay. It is very regrettable, because this establishment has potential, but today it is very far from the advertised services. It is left abandoned; we will not return and do not recommend it.

Average this year
We stayed for the fifteenth year at the VTF-VVF des Heures Claires in Sainte Maxime for fifteen days. It must be noted that the quality has declined since Christophe, the center's director, left. Fortunately, Ibrahima remains in the kitchen (very talented and excellent cook), Christophe at the bar (always efficient and dynamic), and Isabelle at the reception (helpful and attentive). This year, we were disappointed with the service; that is why we sincerely hope that the new director will intervene effectively to reorganize the center so that we can rediscover the Heures Claires of yesteryear!!

For all stays, beds are made upon arrival and the end-of-stay cleaning and towels are included in the price.
