Excellent stay in the mountains
Audrey and William welcomed us very well.A welcome drink was even offered to us.
The meal was hearty and excellent (charcuterie, cheese and bread)
Very good experience in nature, in the greatest calm.
Thanks a lot.

The perfect getaway and add- on to Lourdes
Starting with hosts, Audrey and William are welcoming and in the best way. They give you a tour of the grounds answer all your questions and give you any small talk you desire- they’re also happy to leave you alone if you desire (they have a great balance of being available without being over-bearing). William speaks French, Spanish and English… Audrey has Google translate.
The location : we chose this place because it’s 10 mins from Lourdes. You do need a car to come here- but honestly rent one as it’s easy to get around in this area of France. The location is serene and for those on a pilgrimage to the grotto, it gives you a stillness for prayer that the town of Lourdes can’t with all the tourists. There are donkeys, twin sheep, chickens, a pony, a dog, a cat and while we were there the neighboring 3month old calves came over. In this way it’s great for a child (as the animals are very friendly). It’s also great for adults who want to ground with nature as it feels very retreat like. There is wifi, but it’s not very stable- and honestly if it goes out you won’t miss it.
The food: I don’t want to offend anyone’s grandmother, but Audrey makes the best tartiflette and hot chocolate in the world. I’m Mexican, I know hot chocolate , my people invented it- Audrey’s is superb. She’s in general an amazing cook and will take into consideration dietary restrictions if you let her know. We ate there two nights, and recommend dinner there as it’s better than what’s in town. On the second night we had the wraps, that she customized for me into a delicious veggie wrap as I’m allergic to seafood. Breakfast is automatically included - this is when you ask for the hot chocolate (my regret was not asking for hot chocolate on the first day).
This place is great for a couple’s getaway, a solo retreat, a Mommy and child weekend- these cabins are magical and I hope you make it here to enjoy them as much as my husband and I did.
