Faultless, fabulous stay at this gem of a place.

The hotel is an understated little gem, ideally situated within easy reach of the popular coastal resorts of La Rochelle, Fouras, Chantilian Pleage etc. but also inland villages, chateau and other places of interest. Benoit is an exceptional host and nothing is too much trouble, his advice on places to go & see, on local dining options etc was invaluable. I would highly recommend any guest to have one of Benoit’s evening meals, we had two during our stay and both were amazing, the passion & enthusiasm that Benoit has for the food he prepares is clearly evident in the dishes he delivers. We had 6 fantastic nights in this beautiful hotel & we will definitely be back at sometime in the future.

Would definitely recomment this delightful B&B!

This is more of a B&B than a hotel. The decor is fantastic and each room has it's own charming style. You feel like you are staying in an old Victorian home but with enough modern upgrades to feel comfortable. The Owner, Benoit, is very pleasantl and helpful speaking perfect English! He allowed us to store our luggage prior to check-in and was extremely accommodating with all requests. The continental syle breakfast is included and very good! I only wish we had spent more than one night here!

A very good bed and breakfast

A beautiful building , along the street and a large garden at the back. Eclectic decoration. Welcoming of Benoit is very friendly.Room and bedding of good quality, well renovated. We also took the table d'hote: home cooking , quite original and good. Breakfast offering a correct choice. Parking in the street.

A dream holiday

What a Beautiful Mansion and Welcoming...Benoit is a passionate and exciting host, who shares the history of the town of Surgeres and the house. Room side, nothing to say, beautiful and again beautiful. And taste buds, everything was perfect too.

A great stay - thank you.

We stayed for one night - we wish it was for longer! Benoit met us when we arrived, made us feel at home and showed us our lovely room. After a swim in the pool, he made us a 3 course dinner which was cooked to perfection along with some delicous wine. Benoit has put alot of effort into the house and garden and it shows. He has trainind as a pastry chef and breakfast the next morning was superb. The room is wonderfully decorated with a very comfortable bed. Highly recommend - wish we could go back!
