The meal was sublime. No false Rating. A treat for the taste buds.
The service was impeccable.

Very nice place

We spent 2 nights with family at the Castle.
It is a very nice place where we could enjoy the quiet and park. Very comfortable, the Pension has a touch of charm and authenticity in its decoration.
The only downside was the restaurant, excellent for parents, not suitable for a 9 year old, especially for waiting.

A magnificent place, a lovely welcome, a top dinner, a very nice room, a very beautiful park, very friendly staff, in short, nothing but praise! Do you still want a downside? So the optional cheese plate at 24 euros which is really not up to par, too bad.

A wonderfully remote hotel out in the countryside in the northwest part of Burgundy.

This hotel is so discreet we almost drove right past it.
The grounds are amazing and the service excellent. There is a pond, a restaurant garden, a flock of white peacocks and a flock of geese and a chicken coop. A lovely ambience.

Don't fall for the "1000 Places" listing

This is a beautiful castle. However, the hotel inside is a disappointment. The cheapest room is still outrageously expensive but small and has no charm at all with uninspired furniture and a tiny TV. No spa, just a small, stuffy indoor pool with some jets. The bar features a severely limited selection and an amateur bartender charging high-end prices. Breakfast was OK but served in an uncomfortable room. Service is a mixed bag from friendly and helpful to indifferent and snooty. The only redeeming feature is the park and terrace with a majestic tree.
It seems the hotel is living of its "1000 Places to See" fame, attracting many unsuspecting English speakers, and of its truly excellent, Michelin-starred restaurant. There are much nicer places to stay in Burgundy.
