Great base to explore the many monuments
Easy to find hotel on the outskirts of Verdun. It is close to a main road but tucked away on behind an industrial estate. The rooms are large, well appointed and comfortable. There is very comfortable furniture in the garden to enjoy the evening sun. The pool was not operational when we stayed. The food is very old and well priced.

Small, pleasant family hotel, well placed for visiting the sites of the First World War. Very pleasant staff.
The room is quite small but the bedding is OK. On the other hand, quite noisy because you can hear the people in the room above walking and the road below.
Pleasant swimming pool but moderately maintained.
Decent breakfast (I really enjoyed the fresh fruit salad!)
The restaurant is very good. The dishes are good, the products are quality, the service is pleasant, we spent 2 good evenings there.

Less Than Average Room Size - Good Restaurant
We stayed on a Sunday night May en route back from Germany. Chose this place due to the restaurant being open on a Sunday.
Well tucked away on the outskirts of town in a residential/commercial area - at least that’s the way the GPS took us in.
Decent sized free car park.
Friendly, efficient enough check in.
Clearly the rooms have been refurbished to a high standard, being modern, clean and comfortable - but are barely adequate in size for even one person, let alone two. Bathroom clean and well equipped, but as per the bedroom, tiny. Functional enough to arrive at 2000, eat and crash into bed for an early start!
The restaurant produced a really good standard of dinner at a reasonable price. Plenty of ‘locals’ dining there.
Coach parties visiting Verdun stop over here.
We didn’t eat breakfast due to an early start.
Would only stay again due to the restaurant being open on a Sunday.

Accueil épouvantable
Lors de notre séjour de 4 jours à Verdun nous nous sommes présentés dans cet Établissement qui semblait avoir bonne réputation et disposer d’un menu appétissant pour réserver une table pour 4 personnes pour le lendemain soir pour célébrer l’anniversaire d’une amie en prenant le menu dégustation !
L’homme et la femme qui nous ont reçus n’ont pas eu la même approche lors de notre demande ;
Lui nous a gentiment répondu de patienter car il allait voir s’il y avait de la place pendant qu’elle s’est mise à crier « certainement pas, d’ailleurs le chef est tout seul, il râle déjà qu’il a trop de travail et en plus il n’aime pas faire le menu gastronomique »
Nous pouvons comprendre qu’après de longs mois de confinement la reprise du travail dans la restauration, qui a été maintenue à flot grâce à nos impôts, ne doit pas être évidente, mais l’attitude très désagréable et grossière de cette dame a tellement juré par rapport à l’amabilité générale dont les gens font preuve dans toute la région que cela nous a découragés et vexés
Nous sommes partis en expliquant que, même si l’homme nous trouvait une place pour 4, nous préférions ne pas revenir le lendemain juste pour éviter de revoir cette furie et de fâcher leur chef
Ils sont peut être charmants avec d’autres clients mais un refus poli aurait été du meilleur effet !
Cette personne n’a plus rien à faire ni dans la restauration ni dans l’hôtellerie si elle n’est pas capable de se comporter poliment avec des clients potentiels
Nous sommes repartis mi vexés mi amusés à l’idée de penser que son mari et son personnel devait supporter son mépris et sa grossièreté
