Charming

A good night in this charming Inn in the center with free parking a stone's throw away. The meal was excellent. Bravo, Chief. One less star for the waiter who was missing the smile (probably very pretty) and the sound of his voice (probably very pretty)!

A must!

We stayed a short week at the Pension Restaurant Le Bourbon in Yssingeaux. We particularly appreciated the high-quality cuisine in terms of taste, products chosen and presentation. Excellent experience!...
The Pension is very clean and nice, we highly recommend.

The best for a cycling holiday in Yssingeaux

What was only supposed to be a base camp for three days of cycling, turned out to be an exceptional stay: the warm welcome from the young bosses, the tasty dinners and quiet rooms. With a closed garage for our electric bikes, the best.

Absolutely amazing evening meal, a gourmet delight. We had the 'plats' but several mid courses, amuse-bouches etc arrived too and everything was delicious. The room was small though and very little hot shower water in the morning (although tap water was hot). Breakfast was okay but not special.

It was much better before.

Hotel reception, after waiting, extremely cold.
Towels in the bathroom with completely frayed edges.
Spartan breakfast (but not expensive), you have to set a table for two yourself.
The evening meal is poorly served, to eat your meat, you are given a knife and no fork.
I experienced Bourbon with the previous owners and was extremely disappointed.
