Delightful Chateau

We stayed one night in May and wished we could have stayed longer. It was indeed magical - the architecture, the gardens, the terrace, the beautiful dining room and lovely breakfast all contributed to a very memorable stay. The room appointments were superb down to the smallest details and had fantastic views of the gardens from the bedroom and bathroom. Very gracious hosts.
I could go on. Do not hesitate to go!

Amazing place

What an amazing place. We loved every minute of our stay. The kids loved the pool and the fishing. The breakfast was great and close to lots of local attractions. Our hosts could not do enough to make our stay great

Quiet retreat

Mid February and we were the only 2 staying at the Chateau. Sandrine, the housekeeper let us in and showed us to our room high up on the top floor. The room was beneath one of the turrets and very atmospheric. The chateau is old and creaky but is a very pleasant place to stay if you don't mind being quite a way from anywhere. The town of Yvette-L'Eveque is only about 3 km away and easy to walk to but the only restaurant in town was closed on a Sunday - the night we stayed. There is no provision for dining at the chateau so be prepared to take your own snacks and drinks. Breakfast is provided in a beautiful dining room at a round table with seating for about 6. The table was set with silver cutlery, candles, linen tablecloth and table napkins and beautiful Limoges plates. We ate eggs freshly collected from the resident chicken and as we were the only 2 people, felt that we were very well looked after. Super coffee and croissants. The grounds are beautiful and must look fabulous in the spring and summer.

A quirky little gem

We stayed at this chateau when on our way to the south of France with our two children, (7 & 6) it was a real treat driving up the long secluded driveway which has a private entrance. The chateau itself is very beautiful and well maintained, quite small but with acres of greenery surrounding it, the views are lovely from the top floor windows where we were staying. It probably wasn't the most practical choice for us having had a long drive (6 hours) as they offer no food or drinks here, it is literally bed n breakfast, no tea/coffee making facilities either. Oddly, no locks on any of the bedrooms, for us, with two children who were assigned a separate room to us we found this difficult, therefore the kids slept with us in the same bed. There was another family on our floor so it just didn't feel right. So that was a slight disappointment. The bedrooms/bathroom etc were lovely, very nicely decorated, and the breakfast the next morning was a nice continental breakfast with eggs if you wanted it. There's a good sized swimming pool adjecent to the property which was great.
The lady that runs the place was lovely, and very hospitable. Overall a pleasant stay :)

Very good location
