Outstanding, Very Friendly Hostel!

The staff really make this place - super friendly and fun. The hostel generally has a really welcoming feel and it is very easy to hang out with other guests / staff in a relaxed environment (e.g. drinking by the fire, watching movies). The double room was very comfortable and the overall decorations and style of the house in the old part of town gives it a really cozy feel with great character. Breakfast was excellent and well worth the 9 GEL. Thank you for a superb stay in Tbilisi - would definitely return!

An inn worth a price

I used it for four nights. The hostel atmosphere was 12 people (6 bunk beds) per room.
It was a large room, but everyone tried to stay quiet, especially inside the room, and there was no problem. (A few people stayed in bed during the day, waking up around 11am, probably for longer stays.)
First of all, the location is outside of the Tbilisi city center, but it is a busy area, and the city center is also a good 20-minute walk away. There are supermarkets nearby that are open until late, and there are also kitchens and refrigerators in the hostel, so it's convenient.
Regarding the residency, most of the participants were Russian-European. Because of the structure, you always go through the living room when you go outside, so it may be difficult for people who are not used to living with people all the time. There was a day when we had a veranda, where we would sit and drink until night and talk to travelers.
In addition, although the building itself is not new in terms of hygiene, the toilets and shower rooms are cleaned more frequently (although there were problems with not getting hot water out), and they are kept constant and clean. On the other hand, there were a lot of dusty spots in the room.
On the whole, I would recommend it for a very good quality inn considering the price per night, but it would be difficult if the purpose is to enjoy socializing and staying without a certain level of English.

Avoid at all costs - unreliable

Accommodation cancelled, the booking having been made months ago. Very "kindly" offered a bed in a dormitory with strangers instead. People who operate their business in this fashion do not deserve business.

Hello, Thomas!
First of all - we appreciate your review and really sorry for the inconvenience we provide.
Regarding the situation we want to note that yes, we had a problem with the room you booked, and we had to leave it under repair for a while, so we suggest another option for accommodation and did it in advance (a month before you expected check-in!).
We didn't want to offend you but apparently did it, sorry for that.
By the way, you have made a reservation not in a private room, but in a 2-bed dorm where you also would meet a stranger (of course not so many as in 6-dorm).
Nevertheless, your review has nothing to do with the conditions of accommodation in our hostel, facilities, and atmosphere. We are sure if you still visit us - you'll definitely change your mind.

A great place to stay

Only spent one night at the hotel, but it was very good. Our room was large with an upstairs area and second double bed. We had a private balcony looking over the city.
We arrived very late at night after a long taxi journey from Yerevan and there was someone waiting at the hotel for us. The bathroom was clean. Water pressure was good, but the water did take a while to warm up.
Breakfast was ok, but I've had better in Georgia. The location is fantastic. Right in the old town.

Good solid choice

Nice balcony and lounge area. Clean and cheap. Very quiet when we were there which was a shame. Excellent location in the middle of the old town. Staff polite but not super friendly. No problems at all.
