Excellent Experience. Thank You! I was very happy with the Hotel, the service and the overall stay. Breakfast was exceptional as usual and i would definitely advise my close friends and family members to visit.

Beautiful estate hotel
Beautiful setting in the park, lovely facilities (restaurants, swimming pool, grounds, spa). We enjoyed a very informative wine tasting with the sommelier. We had dinner twice at the restaurants, the food was all very good. Breakfast was also great, you could order custom coffee. Really enjoyed this hotel from all aspects. Staff could be faster with cleaning up used towels on the chairs so that new guests can sit. Some staff said 'we don't know for sure the person left', but I think if the towel hasn't moved after an hour, pick it up.

Poor service
I booked to stay here after reading so many amazing reviews. The grounds are beautiful and the property itself is stunning, but unfortunately the service really lets it down. The staff came across as disengaged and unwelcoming, with very little warmth or enthusiasm.
Even when I checked out, I was asked if I’d enjoyed my stay. I mentioned that I felt the service could be improved, but the response was quite dismissive and there wasn’t even an apology or any interest in my feedback.
For the price, I expected a much higher standard of service. Sadly, despite the beautiful setting, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
Even when I checked out, I was asked if I’d enjoyed my stay. I mentioned that I felt the service could be improved, but the response was quite dismissive and there wasn’t even an apology or any interest in my feedback.
For the price, I expected a much higher standard of service. Sadly, despite the beautiful setting, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

The hotel is beautiful a charming former palace with wonderful gardens and very good facilities. Sadly, our stay was overshadowed by problems in our room that were never properly resolved.
On arrival, the bathroom sink was clogged and wouldn’t drain. It was fixed, but soon after the tap came away from the wall and started leaking. That was repaired too, though the person who came left the sink dirty. Then that night the bathroom flooded during my shower because the drain couldn’t cope. I called reception very upset, unable to even finish showering. They sent someone to mop up, but brought no fresh towels, didn’t fix the problem, and never offered to move us to another room.
At check-out I explained everything, saying how disappointed I was in a hotel of this standard, a room should be in perfect working order. The only reply was “sorry for the inconvenience.” No manager ever came to speak with us. An incredible lack of management.
Information for guests was also poor: details about the wine tour and spa were badly communicated, and on our first morning no one mentioned there was an à la carte breakfast menu we only found out on day two. The staff were all kind and polite, but communication was consistently lacking.
Such a shame, because the property has real potential.
