Good food, excellent staff. Great Christmas Eve despite being fully booked

We stayed with the family (10 people ) am1. Christmas Day, at night, for dinner. I was scared on arrival, because it was full of props, wondering how kitchen and service would handle it. Yeah, it was tight, but in a few minutes that was forgotten. A really great service that was in a good mood and attentive, the food was good, even special requests were gladly, and with humor, fulfilled. Everyone got their food at the same time. The room was very nicely decorated and the boss came to every table and asked if you were satisfied and wished you a Merry Christmas. The other guests were very nice and relaxed . No fine dining but a very tasty, good food with excellent service in a nice atmosphere. The boss can be proud of his staff. We had a lovely 1. Christmas Day night. Thanks for that

nice rooms at the back

Nice spacious room at the back , which was ok for us as we had a dog with us (supplement 10 €/night). Little bother from the sometimes busy Monschauerstrasse.
Location ok , near Aachen , you can take the bus near to downtown
TIP : go to the P+R car park Waldfriedhof across the street , and buy a day ticket for 5 € (up to 5 people) , is much cheaper than buying a ticket at the bus stop near the hotel !
However, breakfast substandard: no croissants or chocolate rolls, only white or coarse rolls, no bacon, moreover not always supplemented. The first day we only got there around 9am, and then there was almost nothing left.
Could have been more considering the price (70€ p.p./night).
Kindness could also be better.
Drinks are also not cheap (eg fresh munthee 5,80 €...).
We asked about transport to the centre : they only referred to the bus stop in front of the hotel , in fact such a hotel located near the P+R should inform about the 5 € day ticket .
In short: room was very good , friendliness could be better , breakfast substandard.

2 days in Aachen

In a conveniently located hotel just outside the center with ample free parking, beautiful spacious rooms, warm and modern, very clean, professional staff, no lift, but they helped us with our bags, decent breakfast although little choice, but the restaurant was excellent , generous portions, first choice quality, super fast staff, overall excellent experience, designated outdoor areas for smokers.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant in an ideal location

Absolutely fantastic restaurant in an ideal location. Everything is just right here.
The atmosphere is inviting, the service excellent, the range of food and drinks is varied and the prices are reasonable.
The staff is trained, friendly and knows how to serve the food and advise.
The menu changes depending on the season. All dishes are recommended. You can just close your eyes and choose with your finger, you will be delighted.
Very good value for money! We will be back!
We spent a wonderful evening there. The service was quick, friendly, competent but also unobtrusive. The wine and the food were top notch, the prices were a bit high but absolutely reasonable. We will be back. From cream of chanterelle soup to rack of lamb, everything was perfect and well presented.
I can recommend it with full conviction.

Simply not good and the service ignorant

It was a huge disappointment for us. The trout was filleted, which is not acceptable! The fish was too salty. The waiter only had excuses and left the table smiling. The salad from the buffet was heavy with vinegar, unfortunately we couldn't eat half of it. Tasteless, watery farmer's schnitzel, canned mushrooms "tipped over", a choleric boss who shouts at his employees. -
We will NOT visit again.
The toilet area and the dining room were clean.
The restaurant facilities are upscale.
We raised the criticism twice on site!
