Superb service, excellent food, good beds - simply recommended!

A great hotel with a very good restaurant. The breakfast with muesli, fresh fruit, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, yogurt, quark, etc. with different types of bread and rolls as well as coffee or tea was excellent, the portions at dinner were large and above all very tasty, the waitstaff, the manager, and the cleaning staff were nice and attentive, providing superb service! The five-day stay was enjoyable not only for me but also for the 7 friends. Even though I would choose a comfort room next time.
The hotel is ideal for exploring the national park - we visited all 3 gates - as well as the surrounding area.
(e.g., reptile excursion, among others, Red Rock and Salinenpark in Bad Münster a. Stein; gemstone museum and cutting in Idar-Oberstein).
We had the rental car from Wiesbaden and still only drove about 600 km in the 5 days. Afterwards, we had a hiking vacation in the very appealing, large comfort room with 4 overnight stays.
The transportation service is personalized and works well, the 3-day hikes with very delicious half board were great. I can only recommend this and will definitely come back.

Simple and good

After we were quite disappointed during our last visit, the Restaurant Steuer presented itself this time quite recommendable. German dishes such as the Wiener-style pork schnitzel tasted just like the salmon trout. A force is the gourmet dish, especially for hungry guests. Friendly, fast service. The location, not far from the Erbeskopf, in a pleasant high valley, is a plus during the snow season as well as in the warm season.

gemstones and minerals

We stayed in this hotel on our way to Idar-Oberstein to buy some gemstones and minerals. There is a beautiful shop inside the hotel. Breakfast was good and dinner was even better. Try the trout! The view from the room is also amazing, forrests as far as the eye can see :)
