If you know it from before, it needs improvement today!
Even the cleanliness makes the house shine in no splendour!
For non-vegetarians, breakfast is not very varied and used to be better by lengths! Today's price is no longer justified!
The few staff are trying, but notice that they are not from the trade!
The food in the restaurant was good but not outstanding to rate!
The bar menu very limited with only a few drinks on offer, for example a simple Negroni are not on offer!
All in all an average stay with plenty of air up, in a dreamlike environment by the lake! Currently not recommended!

Warning: Wedding trap pottery house!
Accessibility
The house is not barrier-free. It is completely unsuitable for wheelchair users or families with small children. The breakfast room is only accessible via several steps, and barriers are everywhere in the winding old building. We had to carry our infant constantly and park the stroller on the ground floor next to the lobby as there was no room in the room.
Room
We were allocated with two adults and two toddlers a very small room (not 18 m2, so not 4-star compliant) on the second floor, accessible only by a narrow staircase. Only one extra bed was provided for both children.
Wedding business
On our weekend, four weddings took place in parallel. This led to significant problems: The parking lot was congested, many guests had to park in the forest. During a wedding ceremony at the lake, the basses of another celebration were already roaring – no sign of idyllic calm. In the rooms you could hear the celebrations deep into the night through the old building. Those who are sensitive to noise will hardly find sleep here.
Equipment & organisation
Decoration must be brought almost completely by yourself, the hotel only provides chairs. The staff is striving but seems inexperienced and poorly trained.
Catering
The culinary offer does not meet the standards of a 4-star hotel.
Breakfast: very limited, hardly any cold cuts, but pastes and creams.
Cake buffet: consisted of a single, unappealing sheet cake.
Dinner: looked put together from leftovers from other events, nothing freshly prepared, all in Cook & Chill style. Grilled sausages were even served cut into small pieces in a tin. Meat was quickly out of stock, supplies were hesitant.
Cancellation & pricing
We were particularly negative about the handling of cancellations. We were not allowed to cancel an additional night that we had booked independently of the wedding – despite terms and conditions to the contrary. The price was 190 € per night, higher than through common portals. Here, it was clearly attempted to maximize the profit at the expense of the guests.
Conclusion
The pottery house is heavily designed for mass handling and increased sales – individuality, service quality and hospitality fall by the wayside. For weddings as well as for vacation stays we can not recommend the house. It was my most negative hotel experience to date in over 15 years with regular business trips.
Please don't book here!

Nice location, but unfortunately not recommended at all. It's not going to be the best day of your life here.
The good things first: The location is fantastic ... View of the lake, idyllic by the forest, lots of greenery, lots of water, no town, lots of peace.
Basically, that's what I can write well. We were involved as relatives of the bride in the organization, preparation and construction and were sometimes simply speechless due to the serious shortcomings.
Already in advance, the hotel made it very clear that it is not about the wishes of the bride and groom or even about the couple having a nice day. Time and again, it was "threatened" that you could withdraw from the contract if something did not suit you ... while the hotel kept the deposit at the same time.
The organization of the rooms for the overnight guests was a horror, in the end the bride and groom had to take care of it ... for a core task of a 4-star hotel this is already quite pathetic.
On the day of the wedding itself, we were not able to use the already scarce time for the setup properly, because in many places the preparations of the hotel had not yet been completed. Only under great stress could we save this.
The Service seemed to be trying very hard, but was obviously unorganized and unprepared. My wife and I, for example, were asked by the person in charge of the hotel shortly before the wedding if we were the bride and groom. Again and again, service personnel stood looking around attentively while dishes piled up on the tables or guests waited for drinks.
In the evening it didn't get any better, the evening buffet was emptied very quickly and remained so for a longer time. It took a very long time for this to be filled up. Desserts were not even seen by many guests, not only were there too few, but they were simply not replenished.
You expect a lot from a 4-star hotel in such a location, especially since the costs are quite high in comparison. Unfortunately, the pottery house cannot meet these expectations.
I can only advise couples who want to celebrate their wedding there. You are not made to feel that it is about you or that work is being done to give you the most beautiful day of your life.
