Good hotel and great food

From 2023 I have been there 3 times for business. The rooms are large and top equipped. Staff at reception and restaurant are super nice. We always eat schnitzel buffet: A highlight of the business trip year! If you are there privately, you can probably hike very well. There is a large playground for children. Edeka and Lidl are on the spot.

Loved the food and the hospitality

The hotel is very close to the hills with forests where we went for long walks. The rooms we had, had very nice views. They are cozy and clean rooms. But what I loved best was the treatment of the people at the restaurant. I will particularly remember a very and efficient waitress. In general, everyone was nice. And the food of the restaurant was simply amazing!

Nice hotel in Bad Essen area

I had to spend a few days in Bad Essen with businesses. There are not too many choices in the area to chose from so I booked a room to this hotel.
The location is very good, near the forest. It's a quiet neighborhood.
The hotel looks old and a bit dusty. But in reality it's very clean and the breakfast was great with a lot of choices. The stuff it's not speaking English very well but I was able to communicate :)
The swimming pool was nice.
Minuses:
I didn't like was the mattress. It was really hard, but OK, this can be subjective.
The Wi-Fi didn't work almost at all.

On a positive note, it was clean.

The architects managed to build a hotel that whilst sits on a sunny slope, attracts no sun in the property whatsoverer. The hotel ambience is very much like a school, with stark and gloomy corridors smelling of food. The room was clean however very basic, with no attempt to make it attractive. No hairdryer (but you can ask at reception), and amenities were a poor quality bar of soap and shower gel.
The breakfast is a cold buffet (cheese and ham, yoghurt and fruit).

Zeer tevreden over deze tussenstop

Hier een nacht geslapen op doortocht naar de Ostsee. Ruime kamer, dito balkon, met tafeltje en een zitje. Inrichting wat gedateerd maar heel proper. Goeie douche en goed bed. Ontbijt uitgebreid. 's Avonds aten we een gerecht van de kaart en dat viel heel goed mee. Vriendelijke bediening, aangename receptie. Al bij al een aanrader voor de zachte prijs. Bad Essen even bezocht, is klein maar fijn. Vriendelijke mensen die gelukkig zijn toeristen te mogen ontvangen.
