The perfect location for a dream wedding!
“We were able to celebrate our daughter’s wedding at the unique Hotel Maximilian and are absolutely thrilled! We have been able to experience many beautiful moments in this house with our children and are very happy that you have now made the covenant for life here. Especially the private wedding ceremony in the idyllic herb garden, which is directly accessible via the event rooms, was an absolute highlight. There we could experience this special moment undisturbed and in a very personal atmosphere.
From the first consultation by Mrs Leber to the implementation, we felt in good hands – everything was tailored to our wishes and implemented with a lot of heart, which made the day very special for us and our guests. The spacious restaurant also offered plenty of space, so we could celebrate in a relaxed and stylish environment.
We really enjoyed the peace and quiet in the in-house wellness area and were able to switch off wonderfully there.
We would like to thank the entire team from the bottom of our hearts. With so much personal commitment and professionalism you have given us an unforgettable time. Highly recommended – We are very much looking forward to our next stay in Bad Griesbach, where we will revel in all the beautiful memories.”

Hotel a little old - nice wellness part
Unfortunately, the young lady at the reception was not top of the line in terms of the available offer and how to warmly welcome guests. She wanted to charge us 12.50 euros for adjusting the bikes.

The prerequisites for becoming a grand hotel again are quite met. Would be positive for us.
We've been coming to Maximilian since it opened. We have also stayed in all other 4-5 star hotels in Bad Griesbach since 1985. We last stayed at the hotel in Dec. `25. We were there at 2pm to check in and had to wait until 3pm to get the room. In another 4.5 star hotel in B. Gri. we get the room at the same time after 10 minutes. Guests who came after us immediately got the key. They could have told the carpenter to get ready for our room in a minute, if that's not yet done. Upon arrival in the room: cold. After the complaint, a hotel employee came to check the heating, which he thought was no longer working. Then we were brought a mobile room radiator. The carpeting had some yellow spots, indicating a stay with dog. We had booked and also got table no. 506 at each stay. On the last night, however, there were two other guests. The ladies at the service didn't understand our complaint. Another service employee assigned us another table after a 10 minute wait. Unfortunately, in the wellness area the salt cave was not in operation. Even otherwise, you didn't notice much in the hotel that it's Christmas holidays. In 2024, on Christmas Eve, the Christ Child arrived in the foyer and gave each guest a Gingerbread Santa Claus. It was lovely. Otherwise, breakfast and dinner were excellent. Also the cleanliness of the house and the staff friendly. As we learned from the media, the house is being renovated and it is to become a grand hotel again, as it was at the beginning. Would be very positive for us. I would also like to mention the delicious cakes and cakes of the Maxcafe and the Maxbar.

Great cuisine! Good value for money
Overall, we were very satisfied.
Pros: Very friendly staff. Very good cuisine at breakfast we dinner - good selection and always refilled at the buffet! High problem-solving competence! Always bath towels available in the spa area!
The house has unfortunately come of age. Some worn-out furniture and stained carpet (although we had the impression, nevertheless good clean!).
With reasonable room rate you can not complain overall. Definitely recommended for a short trip. We would definitely come back!
A service not received in the travel arrangement was "replaced" without further ado against other services to our complete satisfaction. Thank you.

Wonderful stay
The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere, the food was excellent, the staff very attentive.
A special highlight was that in the beautiful bar a great piano player sat on the grand piano and entertained the guests.
