Greatly renovated annex of the Hotel Werratal

On the market square of Bad Sooden Allendorf is the Hotel Werratal, whose branch Pelikans Krone is 50m further away. There they renovated great in an old half-timbered house. Tasteful, quality, preserving the old structure. Heavenly peace, coffee capsule machine, trust fridge with fair prices (bottle of wine 14,beer 2,50 €). Breakfast is in the main house, great selection including salmon. At 181 € per double room incl. breakfast but also not quite inexpensive.

Beautifully renovated old town hotel

Very nice hotel in a renovated old town house. The combination of tradition and modernity has been successful here. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious. Although there is a lot of space in the bathroom, there are unfortunately not enough places to hang towels. You can only hang them over the radiator, which is difficult with four towels. There are enough shelves for toiletries in the bathroom.
The cleaning service was a bit inattentive when refilling the facial tissues and shower shampoo. They were only refilled when we placed the empty containers on the second day (after they were empty) so that they were clearly visible.
Although the hotel is on an access road to the old town, the room is very well soundproofed, so that you don't hear any traffic when the window is closed.
For breakfast you have to go to the main building, which is two minutes away. There was a very good breakfast buffet with a wide selection (e.g. antipasti and oat milk).

Eine Freundin hatte es empfohlen...

...und sie hatte Recht.
Hübsches Ambiente, liebevoll renovierte Zimmer, schickes Bad und bequeme Betten.
Das Frühstück war ebenfalls von sehr guter Qualität und der Service bei Hotel & Frühstück war extrem gut !!!!

Viel besser, als erwartet

In einem Städtchen wie Bad Sooden Allendorf rechnet man eigentlich nicht mit Zimmern, die man sonst eher in Boutique-Hotels erwarten würde. Geschmackvoll, durchdacht und schön.
Das Gleiche gilt für das Frühstücksbuffet - reichhaltig abwechslungsreich und ein sehr aufmerksamer und netter Service.
Fazit: Alles viel besser als erwartet und auf jeden Fall sein Geld wert.
