A Lovely Hotel, in a Perfect Location

We stayed here with our son, aged 40, who had competed in Challenge Roth the weekend before. Our room was on the 3rd floor, in the roof and was massive, with a mezzanine floor above housing a super king size bed and the lower floor with twin beds and I guess, sofa beds. It was very comfortable and quiet, very clean, with amazing roof timbers and very modestly priced. The hotel was originally an old mill, so is heavily constructed and very interesting. The location is excellent, staff very helpful, informative and quick to respond to my pre-booking queries. I booked directly with the hotel. Parking was around 6 min walk away, in a public carpark, which worked well for us. Breakfast was excellent and we'd certainly recommend this place and stay here again. Just one point worth mentioning - I did struggle a little to actually find the place, even though I was right next door to it. The entrance isn't exactly easy to spot and maybe a bigger, clearer, entrance sign would be helpful.

Felt comfortable, historic atmosphere

We felt very comfortable here, the room was large, a bit noisy facing the street until the restaurant across the way was quiet, but then it was very quiet. Everything is within walking distance, nice staff, breakfast at set times, but you can choose that.
The hotel is recommended.

Highly recommended

Only recommended Location of the hotel is ideal. Everything is very friendly. Room nice and very clean . A place to feel good. Parking for the bicycles.

Perfect location, nice spacious room, large bathroom. friendly welcome. No parking as located in the historic old town but car park within walking distance. Rich breakfast. The only drawbacks: Breakfast for space reasons only shift by hour. Reception no longer staffed from 7 pm. But everything else is fine.
