Unfortunately not for me
We stayed at this hotel for one night on business. This is my personal opinion, everyone should form their own opinion. However, unfortunately I didn't feel comfortable in this hotel. Yes, the hotel is clean, you can't complain about that. However, this hotel is massively outdated and careless. In my opinion, a lot of decorations are just hung/placed haphazardly. Plus it's so noisy, I've never experienced it before.
A complete renovation would make sense here. The breakfast was OK and sufficient. You could also order scrambled eggs, which were delicious. We weren't in the restaurant. I don't want to spend more than one night here.

Restaurant not recommended unless you love convenience.
We were there for dinner. According to the menu, you should ask the waiter about food labels, as they were not clearly labeled for each dish. Unfortunately I read it too late! The goulash soup started off as... well. Even that had additives in it. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio was not right at all. €5.50 for a small bowl of soup. The crowning glory was my giant hamburger with salad, a couple of potato wedges and two dips for €10.50. That should have been the last thing I needed to be suspicious of. The patty was cooked through. Ready-made sauce on the ready-made burger buns, cucumber slices that don't even belong in a cucumber salad in that thickness. The dips were ready-made too. Once and never again. Finally, something positive. The staff were friendly and attentive.

We left and moved on...
We had made reservations at the Hotel Stadt Baunatal before leaving the USA, based on the location and website. When we arrived to check in around 3PM, we noticed that all the room keys were still hanging on their respective hooks. The man at the desk said there was an elevator, but that after dinner time the office closed and the lift was turned off. He told us where we could find a lady who could turn power on to the elevator if we required it (My wife has a handicapped plackard and stairs are difficult for her). We decided it best to move on to find another hotel in the area, which we did easily enough. This hotel is likely not what you are looking for.
