Very good base for excursions at the Baltic Sea, idyllic small hotel, highly recommended

Idyllic location , perfect base for excursions on the Baltic Sea ( Rügen, Lübeck, Wismsr, Schwerin,...) Breakfast and dinner very delicious, almost in a family atmosphere. The restaurant is closed on Sundays and Monday evenings. We were the only guests at the hotel except for another couple. It was a little special. If I had been traveling alone, I would not have felt completely comfortable.

Nice location, insanely rude staff.

The location is really nice, the rooms are mostly clean but the Service remains absolutely negative for us especially by a special gentleman.
We don't know how it is possible to respond to the guests absolutely maliciously with every sentence.
This gentleman in Service was the unkindness in person and in our opinion absolutely missed his profession. Patty answers or requests were commonplace with him. In the end he even made videos of us celebrating with the live band. Minutes pber minute he filmed us. Extremely unprofessional.
There was no vegetarian alternative to fish - some of us, including a nursing mother, had to do without a main course. The food was average. Breakfast was not really followed up.

The finest in a long time.Exceptionally beautiful spot of earth. Absolutely fantastic staff. Authentically!

Great location, extremely quiet, surrounded by nature.
A team with a palpable passion. Working together and are in a very good mood. Everybody!
Lots of parking.
For classic motorhomes as well.
A bit remote with plenty of peace. Nice villagers.
We'll be back soon.

A historical property in deep, deep provice - very quiet and charming

The castle is located in a small, quiet village where nothing happens - no shops, no bars, almost no people outside, a very special experience. A large, beautiful garden and plenty of roads among fields and woods for long walks. Just a few spacious rooms, few guests, very quiet. Good dinner when the restaurant is not closed. Staff speaking limited English, which is actually cool. In the evening there is no staff, you get a key and are on your own, which gives a feeling of visiting some distant relatives in the countryside rather than staying at a hotel.
Please note that the restaurant is closed on Sunday with no other option for dinner - we arrived by bike and did not feel like cycling all the way to Wismar. A simple bread, cheese and cold cuts were offered. The hotel charges 6,5 euro (or maybe even more) for a bottle of water - this is excessive.

Quiet surroundings, relaxing atmosphere

I would recommend this castle hotel for those looking for a quiet place to spend a few nights. Here you will find a very relaxing atmosphere, and it is far from towns and restaurants. Location approx. 14 km outside Wismar.
We received a warm welcome and were offered a cup of coffee, after which we were told the history of the castle. Very interesting to know a little about the background of the place.
We had a lovely two night stay. Good and varied breakfast.
Sunday and Monday were "rest days", which is why the hotel was without staff in the late afternoon and evening. Therefore, we did not get the opportunity to use the restaurant either.
