Charming and simple house - nevertheless great

My otherwise popular Motel One Upper East was almost fully booked and suddenly called up prices of over €500/night - crazy. So I was looking for a place to stay where I could park well and would be quickly in my company at Kuhdamm - I came across the europ. Academy. A stroke of luck.
Charming house in great quiet and green location with parking us very friendly staff. Simple breakfast, but which probably still had more to offer than many of us have on our own breakfast table at home. Also the rooms are simple, but what I do there - sleep. The bathroom in the main house was relatively new in my room. Well, there is no hotel bar, the house is probably also more of a training facility. But for the price, that's absolutely fine. Four stars - well, actually I could also award five because you can only compare here with another 3-star house.

Verwirrend aber top!

Der Name irritiert etwas es handelt sich aber um ein tadelloses Hotel in ruhiger und (fast) Zentraler Lage. Das Frühstück ist vollständig aber auch nicht besonders. Preis-Leistung ist sehr gut. Parken kann man auch.

Eher ein Gasthaus

Zunächst zu den positiven Sachen:
-sehr sauber
-sehr abwechslungsreiches Buffet für
3 Sterne
-gute Anbindung zum Ku'Damm und zur
S-Bahn
Negativ aufgefallen sind mir
-Der winzige Safe. In einem Kongress- und Tagungshotel erwarte Ich, dass mein 13-Zoll Laptop in den Safe passt. Hier hätte gerade so meine Brieftasche und das Handy reingepasst.
Den Laptop habe ich dann an der Rezeption auf eigene Gefahr abgeben. Aber auch nicht immer da die Rezeption nur von halb 8 bis 11 besetzt ist
-Der Kaffee. In Zeiten wo jeder Haushalt und jede Bäckerei einen Vollautomaten hat, verstehe ich nicht warum für's Frühstück stundenlang Kannen mit Filterkaffee auf leeren Tischen stehen und man die Nespresso-Maschine nicht selbst bedienen darf und auch noch 2€ pro Kaffee kostet.
-Der fehlende Aufzug. Wenn man ankommt und einen Koffer hat muss man den ohne Hilfe oder Aufzug selbst in sein Zimmer befördern.

Traumlage in Berlin, schöne Villa, günstige Zimmer

Für einen berufliche Aufenthalt braucht ich kurzfristig ein Zimmer und bin hier gelandet - Der Fußweg von der S-Bahnstation führt durch ein gediegenes Villenviertel. Und in einer solchen alten Villa ist die Akademie untergebracht. Der Empfang war herzlich, die Anmeldung flott.
Der Anbau ist modern und zweckmäßig. Dort befinden sich die Gästezimmer, die sehr einfach und zweckmäßig aber sauber und, das ist das Beste: RUHIG sind. Wo wird man in Berlin sonst von Vogelgezwitscher geweckt? Hier würde ich sofort wieder nächtigen wollen!
