A charming place well-situated for walkers.

A room with a lot of charm, spacious with good bedding and a pleasant little courtyard for self-service coffee. A quiet neighborhood that is well-served. Small improvements that would make the experience optimal: blackout curtains and the possibility to leave luggage on the day of departure until 6 PM.

Charming surroundings, but the personal service was missing

I arrived late to check in at Hotel Honigmond. The reception was unattended and the entrance door locked. Fortunately, other guests informed me that it was possible to check in automatically. This was despite the fact that I had informed the hotel in advance that I would be arriving late, yet received no reply. Nor did I receive a response to an earlier email in which I had politely asked about the possibility of staying in a particular room that looked especially appealing.
The following morning, the service felt rather impersonal. The staff gave the impression that it was entirely natural for guests to manage on their own. That was disappointing, as the hotel itself has many attractive qualities – a lovely garden, pleasant surroundings, and plenty of charm.
When I checked out, I was told to leave my luggage unattended in a corner because the staff would be leaving later that afternoon. The explanation was that “it has worked fine so far,” which was not particularly reassuring. When I raised my concerns about the overall service experience, the response was defensive rather than understanding.
Overall, my stay unfortunately did not live up to my expectations of a boutique hotel. The personal warmth and attentive service I had hoped for seemed to be missing, which detracted from what might otherwise have been a very pleasant hotel experience.

Charming. Good location. Quiet neighborhood. Front desk not much service or personality. Should have some better quality snacks for guests. I would stay there again.

We enjoyed the location close to the many main attractions, and the train stop from main terminal. The hotel has the historical landmark like ambiance with baroque decor. Make sure to provide the hotel your CC number to get code to your key lockbox if you are checking in after hours. There are many cute neighborhood cafes offer breakfast. The hotel offers espresso and the pastries in the morning. It has cozy courtyard to sit and enjoy the outdoors. It is pretty quiet and you can rest well.

Great boutique hotel

5 stars, great little boutique hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. Close to everything without the crowds. A short walk to great restaurants, bars and coffee shops.
