Our Favourite Place to Stay in Berlin
My home away from home!
Beautiful, design, a genuinely warm team, and one of the best locations in Berlin. Staying on Amano Auguststraße meant we could walk or cycle everywher: great galleries, cafés and restaurants to some really good shopping. It feels like living in Berlin than visiting it. Love it !!

Definitely worth a visit
We had a fantastic stay at Hotel AMANO and would definitely recommend it. Our L Suite apartment was spacious, stylish, very clean and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax after busy days exploring Berlin.
The location is brilliant and very central, with lots of restaurants, cafés and bars close by and excellent public transport connections that made it easy to get around the city. The hotel itself has a lovely modern atmosphere and a relaxed, stylish feel that made it a lovely place to sit with a drink after sightseeing. We especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace for a drink and the views over Berlin.
The staff were always welcoming, friendly and approachable. They were happy to help whenever we had a question and made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. Nothing felt like too much trouble and their warm manner really added to the experience.
Overall we were very impressed with both the hotel and our L Suite. It was the perfect base for our Berlin trip and somewhere we would happily stay again. Highly recommended!

Great hotel and location
We stayed six days in the L type Apt and found the space not only pleasant but highly functional. The kitchenette was incredibly handy for our needs. The refrigerator was a great size for drinks and midnight leftovers, the stove was very useful and having the Nespresso and hot water kettle was terrific. It was well stocked with dishes and silverware so we really made use of it all. The space was easy to live in and very clean, and it was wonderful to return to the room every day after sightseeing in Berlin.
The Augustrasse location was perfect for walking around and exploring. The staff were all welcoming and helpful which made our stay feel effortless. The cafe downstairs was a great convenience and a lovely place to sit, and the affogato was excellent. The rooftop bar was also wonderful with ample seating, a full bar that was never too noisy and a very nice vibe. A truly delightful stay.

Total disappointment!

Our stay at Hotel AMANO was, unfortunately, very disappointing due to a series of problems that were never satisfactorily resolved.
Before our arrival, we had requested a room with two single beds, and I even sent a message to confirm that requirement. However, upon checking in, we were assigned a room with only one bed. Fortunately, the young woman at the reception was very kind and got us another room.
Upon arriving at that second room, we discovered that the bathroom design completely lacked privacy, so we had to request another change. Again, the reception staff was very attentive and relocated us without any issues.
Unfortunately, the problems continued throughout the entire stay. The room phone never worked, despite being reported several times. The air conditioning was clearly insufficient, and after two days of complaints and insistence, the only solution offered was a fan, which only worked when the room lights were on, a solution that was impractical and unworthy of a hotel of this category.
The hairdryer was also defective: it turned off automatically every 30 seconds, making a simple task like drying hair take an excessive amount of time.
Additionally, one of the bathroom lights burned out during our stay and was never replaced, despite being reported. To complete the list of inconveniences, the shower water leaked from the corners of the partition and flooded part of the bathroom floor after each use.
I want to highlight that the front desk staff was always friendly, professional, and very willing to help. In particular, the young woman who assisted us did everything possible to resolve the issues with great courtesy.
However, the excellent location of the hotel and the kindness of the staff do not compensate for the evident lack of follow-up on room maintenance. It seems that problems are reported, but there is no effective system to address them. A hotel of this category should not present so many basic deficiencies without timely attention.
It is truly a shame because the location is unbeatable and the staff deserves recognition. Nevertheless, the poor maintenance and lack of effective response made our experience fall far below expectations. Unfortunately, we would not stay at this hotel again nor would we recommend it.
