Comfy stay in nice villa

Its really nice villa with the real spirit. I really like the interior and the room was in African style. Which was nice and interesting. There is big bed and the couch, wardrobes, TV, bathroom, everything you need. Room was cleaned every day.
The breakfast was served with good quality stuff, 4 types of salami and even more of the cheese, they also had smoked salmon, also some sweets and fruit.
Its not far from the center. We went the from Prague by car and big advantage is parking for free.
If you are planning to spend few days in Berlin I can only recommend it :)

For highly tolerant or ignorant travelers certainly ok, unfortunately not for me!

Villa Kontanz in Berlin offers a friendly staff and a good breakfast. Unfortunately, the bathroom in my room was very unkempt and in a desolate state. Both the shower and the rest of the sanitary facilities did not even meet the standard and were partly mouldy. The friendliness does not outweigh the lack in the room I booked.

Poor

Pillows were very flat and the bed full of bugs. Not suitable for any one.we stayed in the basement where the smell was unbearable so we have to open the window to get some fresh air where more mosquitoes come in and we’re unable to sleep.

A nice hotel

I stayed in hotel for three nights and generally being satisfied from the service staff offered me. My room wasn’t very spacious but was very clean and quiet, I had very nice sleep all the nights. Bathroom was clean too. Hotel is located 10 minutes walk from the Hohenzollerndamm train station. Note, if you want to go on City Centre you need to use train, but it’s very easy and fast to get in Centre, approximately train needs 15 minutes to arrive in Centre.
The only thing I didn’t like from my stay in hotel is something happened my last day after I did check out. I was waiting for my transfer to pick me up from hotel to the airport. Was long wait and I asked from receptionist to use the toilet. Receptionist didn’t allow me to use the toilet with the excuse I wasn’t anymore guest of the hotel as I checked out an hour ago. This left me with a bitter sense of hospitality. I was guest for three days and checked out only an hour ago and waited for my transfer.
I want to be honest the hotel was nice and clear and ticked the box for me but at the end of the day they could allow guests to use toilets after check out while waiting for transfer.

Great stay until check out. Then things went sour.

Good:
The lady at check in was very friendly and we felt welcome. Hotel has a great location if you travel by car. Parking is available on premises though limited. Close to public transportation and some restaurants in neighborhood. Nice clean room and good breakfast.
Not Good:
Everything was great until checkout. An older man was in the reception. He was not really friendly and when I asked for a receipt he completely refused to provide one getting very unpleasant. We could manage without and just left angry and disappointing. Until this episode we were pleased with our stay and I rate accordingly but we would NEVER stay here again nor recommend to any friends, Too bad how one unpleasant individual can ruin a visit.
