Nice family dinner.

We had dinner at night. Asparagus and trout. Excellent food. Nice service. We felt very comfortable.

Definitely recommend

The negative reviews are not comprehensible at all !.
We stayed three days here in the Comfort Room. It was great . Large balcony, really good cuisine and we had nice our rest after the hike.
Room nice, sauna I used twice, was also good.
We will come back.

Never again to the formerly beautiful restaurant!

The order of a coffee table for the 90th anniversary. Birthday turned into a very bad experience. A pot of coffee was put on the table and there were (presumably thawed) absolute mini pieces of apple or plum cake. Never again!

A beautiful old manor house

It is an old manor house that has been lovingly converted into a hotel. The entire area is very well maintained and inviting. The rooms are very large and clean.
Unfortunately there was a shortage of staff, which is why you could order cleaning at reception. After only being there for 3 nights, we decided not to do it.
The breakfast was varied, but the filter coffee was sometimes very weak. If we asked, we got a good coffee from the machine at the bar.
We didn't like the evening meal so much. Frozen vegetables and croquettes without sauce. Unfortunately, there were also very long waiting times due to the lack of staff. The staff themselves are very friendly and do their best. This is absolutely praiseworthy.
There are plenty of free parking spaces.
We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back.

Good hotel as a base for exploring north rim of Harz Mountains, friendly, spacious room, and a good restaurant.

This hotel on the north edge of the Harz Mountains was a very good base for visiting these hills and a number of historic towns in the area like Goslar, Halberstadt, Gernrode and Quedlinburg. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious, good bathroom. Good WIFI. And the hotel restaurant was very good. Breakfast was simple but with good espresso coffee (which however they charged for). And dinner on a number of nights was very good. Thoughtful well prepared dishes. A negative was the smoking. Our room overlooked the terrace outside the dining room and people smoked here, forcing us inside and to shut door / windows.
