Wonderful location

The small town of Bodenwerder is the birthplace of the legendary Baron of Münchhausen. Even if you are not interested in this topic, you should find some time for visiting this pretty place.
This hotel is a half timbered building superbly located just in front of the Weser. It has seen better times. Let's be clear, it's very well cared off, but bar and restaurant have closed and it's down staffed (the reception closes after 8:00 pm and the receptionist herself helps with the breakfast).
Free and closed parking for bicycles.
The room is huge and is plenty of windows and quite elengant. The WLAN is quite fast.
It offers one of the best breakfasts I had in this part of Germany.

Great place to stay

We stay ed with friends. The museum and town square are right around the corner. Very friendly staff, the room was great with a larfjes bathroom. All very clean. Highly recommended. There is no bar, but you can help yourself to all kinds of drinks and snacks. There were some more people playing games together. Very cozy

Business Trip

I have stayed here before and always got very good service and this time was no exception. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast buffet was as good as ever. Unfortunately since my last visit they have closed the bar and the restaurant due to lack of use. They now just have a small lobby bar which is a small room with coffee machine, snacks and a fridge with beer and wine which you help yourself to and fill in an honesty form to pay for whatever you have. Luckily there are some nice restaurants very close by but I would expect a hotel of this quality and statue to at least operate a bar for the guests.
Overall a good hotel with excellent staff in a great location but now a little lacking in some areas.

Very friendly staff, good quality rooms, spectacular location

Only stayed here 3 night on business, I wish it could have been longer.
The staff and owner a are all very welcoming, helpful and friendly.
The food was good, rooms were spacious & spotlessly clean.
Great company at bar with locals and the owner, especially Friday night.
The location and river views are awesome.
