Good hotel - with one 'but' ...
The hotel is centrally located (walking distance to Bonn main station, the city center and the lovely "Suedstadt". The room was good and so was the breakfast. Just one not-so-customer-friendly point: I made a mistake with my online booking regarding the date but it was not possible to change the reservation upon arrival so I'm paying now twice though the hotel seemed to be far from fully booked.

OK but a bit dated
The Hotel is centrally located but not optimal if you are on business at the Conference Centre as the distance is too short for the taxis, so I ended up walking most of the time (30 mins walk). This was also because the ticket machine at the underground station was not working.
The hotel itself is from the mid 1980’s and somewhat dated and there was a distinct lack of plugs and usbs at the desk in the hotel room. Otherwise, OK.

Good value for money
This was a very nice, comfortable hotel, the check in staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful.
The bedroom we had was a fairly small double, with twin beds, a small but very clean bathroom. There is room for everything, though. (We have paid more for smaller shabbier rooms in other hotels) its ideal for one night, but we would pay slightly more for a bigger room if staying longer.
Everything was clean and tidy. Beds comfortable and bedlinen good. Pillows very floppy! Luckily we had our own.
When we asked about tea and coffee making (there is nothing in the room) they offered to give us boiling water in our flask, which was ideal. There were two bottles of water. And a fridge!
The public areas of the hotel are very nice, the swimming pool looked good, but we didn’t have time to use it.
The parking facilities are excellent. An easy walk from the car to the lift, straight into reception! 15 euros for 24 hours, well worth it as you can then walk into the city easily.

Excellent location and very good but not four star.
The Centro Hotel Residence is located within easy walking distance from the main station, yet not in the midst of heavy or noisy traffic. It is also in easy walking distance to the historic inner city of Bonn. It is the successor of an old and very well known hotel (Guennewig) where I had many business lunches twenty years ago. The Centro hotel is good and very convenient, as stated, but it is not really up to 4-star standards. While it has the very nice and spacious facilities for a restaurant, it offered no restaurant service during my visit in July. It also has no bar or lounge for an evening glass of wine. My single room was very nice and quiet, but it had only a single floor lamp (no ceiling, desk, nor bedside lamp) so that I needed to move the floor lamp around. There was no electric outlet in or by the desk (for my lap top); the nearest outlet was behind the TV which sat on a stand next to the desk. The single chair (at the desk) had a very worn (partially in shreds) cloth seat. Other rooms may of course be more up to date, but mine certainly needed further updating. The breakfast buffet (reasonably priced at Euro 14.90, everything included, also turnover tax) was very good indeed -- a wide selection, and very nicely presented.

Great location near the station
I stayed 4 nights as couple in forth floor,clean room but you have to ask for new bed sheets,Staff for housekeeping need more training ,more smile ,The old lady at front desk should be more friendly with customer .
