Not to be missed

Hotel restaurant located in a historic building in Borna, thirty minutes from Leipzig, with parking in front of the establishment. Very friendly, polite, and professional staff, with excellent hospitality from the owner. Our room was on the second floor of the building, sufficiently spacious, very clean, and functional. We dined at the restaurant with good dishes based on asparagus, salmon, and roast beef: everything was excellent, including the white wine. Good buffet breakfast, exclusively with savory products. Excellent value for money.
I recommend it.

Old fashioned but good for Colditz castle

We stayed here prior to visiting Colditz castle (30 mins away). It is a bit tired and the attention to detail is lacking. The staff other than the chef were very pleasant and friendly but the chef was plain rude, so we ate down the road at Toscana restaurant, which was buzzing. It is clean but it is hard to think of other good things to say. The breakfast was the meanest we had in three weeks of travelling in Germany.

A great find on the road to Colditz

My wife and I stayed in this hotel on our way back to Dresden Airport. It was a real find. A comfortable room, great dinner and breakfast backed up by first class customer service - especially from Claudia - mase for a great stay.
It actually got better as there was a wedding going on in the hotel and we made positive contact with the Bridal party.
Do visit the town centre. Lovely buildings with well painted murals make for an interesting visit, It is also well placed for a visit to Colditz Castle.
If we are ever in the area again we would certainly stay in this hotel. Highly recommended.

Tour to Germany with Swedish Choir

We stayed for three nights in the town of Borna and we are happy that we chose this hotel. Hospitality, very nice food, a bar that opened for us (even it was very late), very nice dinner and good breakfast. Good value for money. We were 24 people in the group.

Group travel

A family owned hotel outside Leipzig. We traveled as a group of 25 and the whole group had drinks in the biergarten had dinner, bar evening and had a bicycle ride activity. We also used the dining room as rehearsal room. Everything have worked perfectly and we got value for our money.
