Great food

Went to dinner with four people at Große Wilde in Bottrop. The food and service was excellent and highly recommended. Price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. We had the pit heroes, veal schnitzel and stroganoff for the main course, all the food was great. Without a reservation you have no chance.

Smelt of cigarettes

Bit of an odd feel about the place - definitely not what we expected.
Very off-putting to smell cigarettes as soon as we came into reception. The corridors and on occasion our room smelt of cigarettes. As non-smokers, we hate that.
It was very noisy. I had to sleep with earplugs. Doors closing, noise from the bar, very noisy road outside plus other guests clomping around the room upstairs at 2 am.
Finally car park wasn't really a proper car park. A couple of doors down through an archway. We were told to park outside two garage doors that had keep clear on them. Only two spaces seemingly for the whole hotel? Fortunately we always got a space.
On the plus side, it was clean. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly. But we wouldn't stay here again.

Good stay

We, parant and two children, sleppt here for one night. Very big room. Nice and friendly personel. Free parking. Good simple breakfast included. Good prise for a stay before skiing in the longest indoor skihal.

Amazing Food

Arrived on business and have to say i was a little disappointed with the room. This soon faded into insignificance with the warm welcome i recieved from the staff in the restaurant. All of the staff were very very friendly and made you feel so welcome. Then came the biggest surprise of all, The food. WOW is the only word for it. Absolutely amazing. I was Lucky enough with the duration of my stay to be able to try everything on the menu and nothing disappointed from the service, the meal through to the fine farewell at the end of the evening. Made a terrible business trip into a quite pleasurable experience. Definitely will stay there again.

Good quality for a fair price

The Hotel is easy to reach. The room was small but enough for a business stay of a few days.
The only problem with the room was the cleaning of the bathroom and the shower: it was bad. Otherwise no rumours and the temperature was adjustable.
I really appreciated the quality of the food at dinner. The Spanish chef added fantasy to the typical German dishes.
