Our family of 10 had a fantastic stay at Hotel Am Froschbächel! The property was spotless—rooms and common areas were impeccably clean—and the location was perfect for us. There’s a playground right across the street, which was a lifesaver for the kids to burn off energy. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options so everyone found something they liked.
The staff truly made our stay exceptional: they were warm, welcoming, and spoke perfect English. They went out of their way to accommodate the varied needs of our multigenerational group, which we appreciated so much. Free parking for our two cars made logistics simple, and the area felt very safe and wonderfully quiet at night—great for a good night’s sleep.
We’d happily return and highly recommend Hotel Am Froschbächel to families and groups looking for a clean, well-located, and genuinely friendly place to stay!

Welcoming hotel and staff.

A very welcoming and friendly place to stay, as a foreign visitor the staff were very helpful, especially Ida on reception. I didn't have a chance to try the restaurant but the breakfast was of a good standard for a hotel. I shall certainly stay there again on my return to Buhl next year.

Tolles familiengeführtes Hotel - Best Service ever!

Very nice, family owned hotel with a helpful, very friendly staff. The hotel is great for groups or doing seminars, but also for travelers on Autobahn 5 or B3 who are looking for a place to rest.
The rooms are spacious, a hall, a large bathroom and a very large bedroom with a king size bed, a desk (with pen/paper/telephone) and two chairs. The huge bed offers a great and comfy mattress.
We very much enjoyed the breakfast. They have quite an outstanding selection including salmon and smoked trout, nice bakeries, fresh bread, scrambled eggs/bacon/sausages. Everything was fresh and/or home made. What I also liked a lot those funny old gadgets as decorations like an old typing machine and a huge old timer camera which provide a cozy touch for the hotel.
This was our third stay within the last couple of years. Each time we were a group of 7-10 people, using the excellent conference rooms which are well equipped. The internet connection was very good, which was important for our video conferences.
This time I forgot my laptop when I left. The owner, Renate Haag, realized this about an hour after I left. She gave me a call and told me she was already in the car following me together with her son. We met at Kandel about 45 min. away from the hotel and they returned the laptop to me – what an outstanding service!
