German Tour

Arrived on Motor Bikes to the Hotel. We were made to feel very welcome. Their English was amazing so my German didn't let me down.
The rooms were simply FANTASTIC. The hotel serves Breakfast in their dining room, the restaurant which is located downstairs looked quite nice but never made it in. We went for a beer in the Pub up the road and had pizzas and beers there.
The breakfast was brilliant and as it was a buffet was very filling.
The bed was very comfortable, i slept very well. Bath room was very plush. I had the window open all night and there was hardly any noise outside.
The car park which is just across the road was safe, we left the bikes there. Apparently there is a security patrol and the local police drive round to so no issues.
Could not fault the stay at all.

Centrally located

For a short stay that's ok. In general, I avoid hotels that do not have a 24-hour reception. If the hotel had a 24-hour reception, I would have liked to change my room as it smelled unpleasantly of fresh paint in mine....with corresponding headaches the next morning. Otherwise price ok, everything clean, comfortable bed.

Tatty, outdated and over priced.

Stayed here while attending a wedding nearby. It’s a shabby, run-down basic hotel with overpriced rooms. No electricity or lighting in the room on the first night and no staff and no number to call after 22.00. Breakfast was poor quality and poor choice; the fruit salad looked like it had been there for weeks.

Simple standard hotel, definitely recommended for a short stay.

The hotel is centrally located near the city center and the train station (5 minutes' walk). The rooms are of a simple standard, spacious and tastefully furnished. The bathrooms are showing their age and the sanitary fittings/fittings could do with replacing. A renovation in some areas would also be appropriate, especially the wall in the head area of the bed in our room (201) no longer looked very appetizing.
All in all, the hotel can definitely be recommended for one or two nights.

This is the only hotel in Bunde so they dont really have to try too hard to impress.
Firstly, to clear up a previous review, there IS a lift to all 4 floors and it works perfectly well.
Check in is on the first floor and was easy. The lady at reception was helpful and welcoming.
I had a twin room on the 3rd floor. It was large and generally clean but is tired and dated, a theme that runs through the hotel
Continental breakfast is plentiful and is served until 11am which suited some later risers!
The owner (one of the two) checked me out. He uttered 3 words to me. Clearly not bothered about wishing me a safe journey or even if i had enjoyed my stay at his establishment.
I would stay here again but only because there is little or no alternative - very average but could do better
