Well run hotel in the centre of Burg

We had the Christmas offer for 3 nights and felt very comfortable. The hotel is located in a quiet side street, around 20 minutes walk from the harbour. Just behind the hotel the hiking trail begins. Our standard room was facing the courtyard and was wonderfully quiet. Everything is clean and well maintained. We found the mattresses perfectly fine, which has been criticized by other travelers. The breakfast offer was really great, many types of cheese and sausage, especially popular with us: the rustic homemade sausage in the glass, with a delicious pickle offer. The room was spacious and beautifully designed. We had a quiet and relaxing night. Everything was very clean and we enjoyed our stay very much. The breakfast was great and delicious.

Well, you can do it, but you don't have to!

The staff is nice, the hot food is not consistently good, the breakfast there is significantly better. Especially the suckling pig knuckle is not recommended, it was consistently criticized by those who ate it. The house is pretty in itself. However, it would need a fundamental renovation, especially in toilet/bathroom. The beds are very narrow, not for tall people.

Lobby and gastronomy OK, unrenovated rooms not 4 stars.

The lobby is beautifully designed and the dining area is also impeccable. However, the unrenovated rooms are not worth 4 stars.
The mattresses and pillows are very uncomfortable and the shower needs renovation.

I nice Hotel in a nice landscape

I stayed here with some friends on a cycling tour through the Spreewald. The rooms are very nice and clean. The hotel hase a nice beergarden. The food was excellent especally the breakfast buffet was very large with local specialities like cucumber.
For dinner we also had a large buffet.
