Practical and cozy

I work in changing locations, so I appreciate an apartment with a personal atmosphere, especially for stations lasting several weeks.
In Cologne I have been a regular at Arthouse for 10 years. I've been to different apartments for that reason.
The decor is always modern and cozy. The kitchen is equipped with everything necessary, including a Nespresso coffee machine.
I've always been very pleased.

Will not return your deposit

Decent but sparse accommodations, no problems at all with the rental but Arthouse Apartments did not return my deposit ($400) after checkout. Several weeks after checking out I inquired as to when my deposit would be returned (why I had to inquire is beyond me; it should have been returned immediately without my inquiry). They requested specific information to wire the deposit to my checking account (U.S.), which I provided. I didn't receive the deposit, inquired again as to its status, they maintain they processed it which they clearly haven't. I continue to ask about the deposit; they've stopped returning my emails. Next up: legal action?
