Great Hotel in the Center with quiet room, comfortable bed, professional and friendly team and great SPA

Quiet room, comfortable beds, great breakfast, professional and very friendly team.
The Spa with the pool (perfect temparature) is very good, good way for relaxing after long walks.

Decent value if you want to be by cathedral and train station, not the best Hyatt experience

The hotel is clean and in a very safe feeling area, a few blocks from the cathedral and train station, short walk to old town and luxury shopping area. It's a bit dated and does not have the feel of a normal Hyatt property. The lobby was kind of dark and small, no place to really gather other than one couch and a few chairs. The rooms were clean enough, but dated. The shower required stepping over a larger that usual tub wall. The spa and pool area was connected but actually part of health club that it appeared the condos next door could use. We did not use it but it was larger than a normal hotel gym so could be great if you need it. It was unfortunately VERY hot in both areas. Did not do the breakfast (it was extra) but I was dissapointed they did not have free coffee in the lobby like most all other Hyatts do. The WORST part was the temperature control in the room - they control the set point of the thermostat so you can only take it down so far. During our 3 nights there in June we could not get it lower than 22.5 C (72.5 F!) and the fan would not turn on. We had terrible sleep, sweating all night with hot stagnant air and we all felt miserable and dry each morning. The window did open but the air outside was also hot, so that didn't help. We tolerated it because I got the nights on points, but I would not stay here again simply because of this temperature issue.

Excellent value with a great proximity to the Dom and the Altstadt. Just a quick walk from the Cologne central train station. The hotel was clean and cool with excellent AC in the guest room (important during the current heat wave!) The room was clean and a good size so I could spread out my things.

Pleasant atmosphere and warm staff

I was a guest at the Lindner Hotel Cologne for business and had an overall pleasant stay.
Unfortunately, due to my tight schedule, I had no opportunity to use the spa area. All the more I was able to enjoy the other amenities of the hotel. The breakfast was diverse, fresh, and very delicious. I would particularly like to highlight the staff I encountered during my stay. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, accommodating, and helpful.
Overall, I felt very comfortable and would gladly return on my next stay in Cologne.
