Great stopover in Dillenburg, comfortable and friendly.

What a great family hotel right in the centre of Dillenburg warm and friendly, not the best view but interesting. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was continental and I had the bacon & scrambled eggs and it was the nicest eggs I have tasted in a long time. It set me up for the long drive back to the UK. Parking was available around the Hotel. If you are in the area I truly recommend staying at the hotel.
Dillenburg is a lovely town with lots to see. My first trip to Dillenburg and indeed Germany and I loved it.

Functional and clean!

We stayed in the Hotel Bartmanns Haus in Dillenburg in June 2024. The hotel is centrally located. Parking is available in front of the house. Our room was functional and clean. Breakfast was plastic-free. I liked that everything was offered in small portions, such as small rolls and pretzels, vegetable sticks etc. Fresh egg dishes were prepared on request. The ladies in the service and reception were friendly and accommodating. We really liked it.

Pleasant hotel experience

The hotel is very conveniently located for visiting neighboring villages. Our room was adequate and quiet. Parking in front is a nice benefit. The breakfast was wonderful! Staff was also very helpful.

Visiting after several years.

Our first visit to this hotel after major redevelopment a few years ago.
We opted for one of the expensive rooms as it had a bath and thought we'd splurge out for a 3-night stay.
We were able to park in the hotel designated parking space. Greeted by reception who didn't speak a lot of English.
After a 4 hour drive we were able to obtain bottled pils from the fridge in the bar area, and top shelf drinks like gin were visible locked away.
Thankfully the lift is now operational and we went to our room.
On first inspection it looked lovely. A fridge in the room would be great. Sadly it doesn't work and so there are no cold drinks. Its light comes on and off and that's about it.
On the landing there is a bigger friedge with a selection of cold drinks.
A seperate loung area with a small flat tv, sofa and wardrobe.
The main bedroom sadly has two single beds pushed together, not a large double that can be found in the majority of family run Gästehofs, sockets, bedside lamp, a larger generic model flatscreen tv. The amount they charge for the room
they could have a spent on something more expensive such as Samsung etc. Free wifi.
The redeeming feature is the bathroom, seperate shower which is powerful, large bath, seperate loo, sink, towels etc.
Breakfast was okay but lacks the option of a freshly cooked egg. Being a hotel they can legally serve a cooked breakfast. Usual helpings of fruit, meat, cheeses, tea, coffee and toast. Fruit juice in individual Grolsch-style beer bottles.
Would we come back? I fear the answer would be no. We would find a family run Gastehof instead.
Also no onsite restaurant but plenty of eateries in town.
For business guests then yes.

Good hotel

Nice area, and village.
Rooms are great, big all new and very clean. People are very helpful and welll known with their job.
Next to the hotel is a restaurant with the same name and really a good spot to eat. Try the rumpsteak!
