We will be back

We had a very nice weekend at Gutshof Hauber.
The location right on the Elbe bike path was great. We found very good that we could park our electric bikes in a lockable garage and that car parking was ample and also free.
Staff were very friendly, breakfast was good.
The room was also fine, everything very clean and tidy.
Only criticism the uncomfortable chairs in the room.
We can definitely recommend the hotel.

Close to the Elbe

(+) We were positively surprised after the different reviews and did not regret the booking under any circumstances. Very nice reception, very responsive facility, rooms slightly older standard but large enough and with everything you need. We had a really quiet room in the main house facing the yard. The restaurant is spacious, no hassle for breakfast, the breakfast offer is definitely enough to get through the day well. Although we didn't eat dinner, the menu is good bourgeois and the premises look very cozy. Free parking in front of the door, public transport to the city center practically "around the corner". In the main house barrier-free access without steps to the room and restaurant. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.
(-) Fridge, minibar and air conditioning were not missing. The mattresses were too hard for us and the duvets very thin. Surely we could have ordered another blanket.

Traditional hotel with updates.

I chose this because I wanted more of a traditional stay. The reception / bar is decorated in dark woods, but the room was very modern. The furniture looks like IKEA style and wasn't all that comfortable. Could not control temperature as I wished but that radiator style is common in Europe.
The breakfast was a typical continental style but well-prepared.
It's in a very quiet part of Dresden and convenient for my purposes. Parking was free compared to some of the hotels downtown.

Hauber Estate? - Simply brilliant!

We chose the Hauber estate (room 208) for 3 nights (September 11th-15th). We felt very comfortable there. The staff was extremely nice and the little waitress in the evening was an absolutely cute Dresden noodle!!!
Breakfast was good, very good would have been appropriate for the price of breakfast - there is still room for improvement - but everything was very clean and the quality of the food in the evening was absolutely beyond reproach. The fact that we sat in the beer garden in the dark until the aforementioned noodle brought additional candles had the charm that we knew what we had ordered, but could not see it on the plate due to the darkness. Never mind, an electrician then got the problem under control and we were illuminated.
The location of the hotel directly on the Elbe cycle path is simply great and if you are annoyed by the noise of trams, you should not book this hotel. You can find out in advance via Google Maps. There were enough parking spaces at the hotel and the lockable bike shed was new and absolutely perfect. So once again, thank you very much for the wonderful time and the really extraordinarily friendly "care" - we would love to come back!

Although outside of the city easy access via tram

We stayed there for 4 nights. The room is quite small (so is the TV, which is the size of a computer monitor), the 2 chairs look nice, but are extremely uncomfortable and the furnishing in general is on the simple, cheap side, which is a major contrast to the very nice restaurant with excellent service and good food - not outstanding, but good.
In general the atmosphere is calm and peaceful unless you happen to be there while someone celebrates the birthday of a rascal 3-year old - freely running around in circles and nobody says a word. Was a little disturbing.

Very good location
