Great disappointment
Great disappointment regarding the planned birthday celebration
We had booked the 90th birthday of my mother (dinner & brunch and 7 hotel rooms) during a personal on-site conversation in December 2025 and subsequently summarized this in writing via email as agreed. When we called now because we wanted to meet in the summer to clarify the details on-site, we were shocked: The receptionist informed us that nothing had been recorded for us and that the hotel was already fully booked on that day. Especially critical: The employee found our confirmation email in the system, copied it, and promised to place it directly on the desk of the junior manager. An oversight can therefore be ruled out.
The subsequent handling of us as customers was completely inadequate. Instead of searching for a solution together, we were repeatedly put off and ignored, while our entire family was left in uncertainty for days:
• The senior manager promised us over the phone that he would take care of the problem and call us back – a callback never occurred.
• The junior manager ended a phone call with the promise to get back to us in half an hour – this callback also never happened.
• In all further attempts to call, neither the junior nor the senior manager was available to speak with us. For days, we were told that the responsible parties were "not in the office," "in a meeting," or "otherwise occupied." A promised conversation never took place.
Having to cancel a milestone birthday at such short notice and then refusing any communication with the customer is extremely disappointing both professionally and personally. We had to organize a replacement location under great stress with the whole family. We are all astonished by this service. No recommendation for this establishment. The hotel was absolutely unprofessional and unreliable regarding our event booking.

Es tut mir aufrichtig leid, dass die Kommunikation rund um Ihre geplante Feier zu einem so großen Missverständnis und zu so viel Ärger auf Ihrer Seite geführt hat. Als Seniorchef ist es mir ein persönliches Anliegen, den Sachverhalt hierzu aufzuklären.
Es ist vollkommen richtig, dass wir im Dezember letzten Jahres das persönliche Gespräch geführt und Sie die Details per E-Mail zusammengefasst hatten. Allerdings konnten wir Ihnen bereits zu diesem Zeitpunkt die 7 gewünschten Hotelzimmer aufgrund der bestehenden Buchungslage nicht fest zusagen, sondern haben vereinbart, Sie dafür auf unsere Warteliste zu setzen.
Wir haben Ihr Anliegen keineswegs ignoriert. Im Gegenteil: Hinter den Kulissen haben wir intensiv nach Lösungen für Sie gesucht. Um Platz zu schaffen, haben wir unter anderem andere bestehende Buchungen kontaktiert, um zu prüfen, ob Zimmer frei werden. Da diese Rückfragen bei anderen Gästen leider sehr viel Zeit in Anspruch genommen haben, hat sich die Rückmeldung an Sie verzögert. Mein Sohn (unser Juniorchef) konnte Ihnen zwischenzeitlich zumindest telefonisch bestätigen, dass wir bereits 4 alternative Zimmer für Sie organisieren konnten.
Unser Fehler lag ganz klar darin, dass wir Sie über diese zeitintensiven Zwischenschritte und den Stand der Dinge nicht ausreichend auf dem Laufenden gehalten haben. Dass dadurch bei Ihnen der Eindruck entstanden ist, wir würden uns nicht kümmern, und dass versprochene Rückrufe in der Hektik untergegangen sind, bedauere ich zutiefst. Das entspricht nicht unserem Serviceanspruch.
Es tut uns leid, dass Sie sich letztlich für eine andere Location entscheiden mussten, um Planungssicherheit zu haben. Für die entstandene Unruhe und den Stress möchten wir uns in aller Form entschuldigen.
Für das neue Lebensjahr Ihrer Mutter wünschen wir trotz allem von Herzen alles Gute.

Restaurant stressful place, as well as overpricing for a cup of coffee
Actually a good hotel and accommodation. The restaurant was crowded and too little staff in the kitchen. Some waited an hour for food. Stressful place to eat when the staff is totally confused. We ate breakfast - and asked if we could get a mug box with us. The service came with the mug and demanded euro 5. (breakfast with coffee and food cost euro 10). It could not be paid by card - only cash.

Neat, child-friendly, cosy
Unplanned and spontaneous stay. Nevertheless, everything was tip top prepared. Everything was neat and child-friendly. In the restaurant we were served very friendly just before kitchen close.
